Bozak - 10 years in Toronto.
JVR - 16th in goals by a player over his 6 seasons.
Komarov - Fan favourite guy you love to have.
I think you can make a case for each one for a different reason.
curious to hear opinions on who receives biggest ovation upon return.
BONUS:
who gets a tribute video?
He was apart of some of the worst Leaf teams I've seen but he's been with us for a very long time, 9 years as a Leaf. Agreed, he's one of the best undrafted free agent signings for the Leafs that I can remember.I say Bozak. The Leafs were all he knew. A darn good free wallet.

I'm not that old. It was taking the teams I've seen live into consideration.the quicker you realize that the Leafs history is extremely overrated with CFL type titles from the 6 team era, the quicker you'll realize the Ballard era was just as poor. Leafs had about, maybe 2 little blips of dominance in the last 40 yrs and they occured early 90s and early 2000s. so ya.. watching mediocrity in the late 2000s is about on course with most Leaf fans lives
If you look at only offensive production, then Kessel should have received the biggest ever.with minimum 300 games played, i decided to run some Goals/Game PLayed, Assists/Game PLayed, Pts/GP for fun.
98 people all time have played 300+ games for the leafs.
Games Played (total as Leaf)
22. Bozak (594)
63. JVR (413)
87. Leo (327)
Goals/GP
13. JVR (.37)
48. Bozak (.23)
63. Leo (.16)
Assists/GP
28. Bozak (.39)
43. JVR (.34)
84. (.21)
Pts/GP
27. JVR (.71)
36. Bozak (.61)
77. Leo (.37)
so ya, Bozak and JVR gonna get ovations 100%.
If you look at only offensive production, then Kessel should have received the biggest ever.
If you look at only +/-, Bozak was -78, JvR was -47, and Komarov was -7. Especially if you consider that Komarov faced a lot tougher opposition, no contest, right?
(Just pointing out how misleading it can be to quote only a couple of stats, and out of context.)
Believe it or not, winning is not a matter of how many goals you score, but whether you score more than the other team.imagine plus minus was a stat ppl cared about
This, it's not like the return of Sundin. They'll all get an ovation equivalent to a polite golf clap.
Believe it or not, winning is not a matter of how many goals you score, but whether you score more than the other team.
Scoring five goals is useless if you allow six, but scoring two is good if you only give up one.
And it also doesn't take into consideration short-handed goals.crazy thing about plus minus is.. it doesnt take into account power play goals. I know, crazy. So if I score say, 2 PP goals, and on the ice for 1 goal, I'm a -1!! but guess what? I know this is gonna be wild but, we'll still be winning 2-1.
HOW!?!? plus minus is just a stat that tells all
And it also doesn't take into consideration short-handed goals.
Thank you for again proving my point.
He didn't get one?If Phil Kessel never got a tribute video than neither will any of these guys.
With that being said, Bozak will have the biggest ovation for sure. Started his career here.
They'll all get an ovation equivalent to a polite golf clap.
Again,+/- is just one stat, as is goals. Do you really think goals scored is the only way to evaluate a player?wait, you think +/- matters? and are serious?
