Where else would you find Hutson/Demidov to close to call for the highest rank sans the Habs board?

I will say IMO that Hutson has been the most proficient rookie this season.
The Calder is awarded for the most proficient rookie.
Meaning of proficient -
Proficient comes from the Latin for making progress, so if someone is proficient, they have made so much progress that they've become good at something.

From start to where we are know that has been Lane to the T.
Most didn't believe he would survive because of his size.
For THIS season he proved all doubters WRONG.

Michkov, Demidov and Bedard will be 100+ point players, Celebrini I doubt it, probably at about Barkov level... scoring I mean, and not sure about defensive part of his game. Hutson is an offensive defenseman so it's hard to compare him to forwards.

That's not an explanation to the question you answered. The true answer is that Hutson is the better player this season.

If you rather have Celebrini in the long run there's nothing wrong with that. I haven't watched him enough to make that evaluation.

Also, you obviously haven't watched Hutson play much at all. He doesn't need size, i wouldn't even give him size if I could. I wouldn't wanna mess with his body it works magically for hockey. I wouldn't want to take away from his speed and light edge work. He doesn't need size because you can't hit what you can't catch.

You’re absolutely right. Why aren’t we including Reinbacher in these rankings? He was drafted before Michkov so I’m surprised he wasn’t included.

Might as well include Slafkovsky #1 overall from the year before Bedard, same year as Hutson.

Michkov new country different rink size, and he's doing great in his 1st year
Celebrini can move up a spot or 2, but right now, he is getting tons of offensive time and needs to learn to defend
Hutson fine rookie campaign but Larry Murphy was fantastic. his 1st year never reached that level again

Demidov There was more hype around Michkov than him, so he is last for now, but who knows
