If Crosby leaves the pens which would be ridiculous, wonder if he takes some sweetheart deals to try and win one more time with some contenders. Can you imagine him on edm

Who will be the next star player in the league traded?
Connor McDavid.

Happens next summer after the Oilers are bounced in round 2 and he realizes Edmonton won't be winning anything going forward now that the team is capped out, has no farm system, no picks and no roster depth as well as too many key players aging out of any contention window.

Rangers would have to be out of playoff contention at the deadline. Like even more dead than NJ was this past deadline.

And we’re almost certainly gonna re-sign him anyway.

So chances are low. Like less than 5% I think.
Why are the Devils catching strays here? They really bother you that much that you can't respond to a post without mentioning them??

It wasn’t intended that way. I was using an example of a team with expectations that didn’t meet them and was considering whether to sell or buy or stay put at the deadline last season.

Everything you said is true but he and Drai are low key lovers who live next door to each other.

Breakups happen.

Would be better for the NHL to have their best player in a major market like LA anyway.

Oilers window is almost closed. Once Bouchard is making his $10.1mm/per.. that roster will have no depth and too many good players in their 30s with no youth or draft picks to address the shortcomings.

He’ll see this and realize he needs to go elsewhere to win.
