This morning I see that Kevin Kurz Ferschweiler’s name as a possibility in the Athletic.

Carle would have to be blown away to accept an nhl head coaching job when he is the god of his college program, makes a crap ton of money and has a young growing family. He can be there for the next 5 years minimum, probably longer if he wants.

Nhl Coaches are gone in 2-3 years.

I agree although his salary I believe is around $750 K. NHL teams can offer a guaranteed 4-5 year deal at $5 million per. He’d have to consider that.

The idea of Quenneville knowing that there were events in the Kyle Beach report pertaining to the Blackhawks sweeping it under the rug that went on here in Philadelphia and then coaching in the same city, would be an impressive level of cognitive dissonance on all sides.

I'm going to go against the grain here. My call is that the next HC will not be someone from the BB tradition. It will be someone that fits the New Era that Briere, Jones, Hilferty are pushing. Jones has contacts in the college ranks and Briere has been around the league with many clubs. It also doesn't look to me like the Flyers are going to hire a retread. So I look for a surprise hire; not one of the present front runners.
