We all saw the the writing was on the wall , not a good lock for the organization by any means to lose the reigning coach of the year . But it happened ,

Who do we all think will our next head coach ?

Sullivan was already ruled out by JR in the presser. He was lukewarm on Laviolette at most. He said it will be someone Alvin has a history with and that is not Laviolette

Gotta say we promote Manny from Abbotsford.
Will Quennville be that bad? I feel having a coach that has a history of making the playoffs is what our stars entering their prime wants. If you ignore the culture of Chicago under Bowman, Q has a win at all cost mentality, room was lead by a serious leader, with a primadonna scorer with maturity issues. Seems like he knows how to navigate a room like that and made it work. hes still kinda toxic, so for those that believe Franky is now penny pinching, he wouldnt've cost him a pretty penny.

Baggage will come with Quenneville, the negative impact as well.

but that baggage is not something that players mind really? more like an expectation that needs to be massaged into our fan base/media.
can you expand on the negative impact? you are assuming that he didnt learn from his mistake?

Yeah if we hire Quenneville I am organising a protest outside Rogers Arena and will not watch the team until he is fired and a personal apology is issued by Francesco to the fan base that includes a discount on tickets.

It blows my mind that people are suggesting Quenneville, where is our morale decency?

Moral decency? it died when the orange guy won the popular vote for me...

it depends on how much you want the cup.... I guess I am less morally rigid. I blame ....how long was my fandom?.... 30 years of suffering? I am not clutching my pearls at this stage, someone will hire him. if not him who else has won cups and lead good teams?
-Gallant has issues playing kids
-Woodcroft came out of a R.L.Stein book.
-Sullivan's lustre is all but faded.
-Laviolette is what he is... resume a mile long, last cup was.... with Canes? 06? but he I dont mind. I just want someone with experience.
-I dont want rookie coaches.

I feel like we should try and find someone who is anti sexual assault.

Vigneault
Dejardins
Tortorelli
Grëēŋ
Bordreau
Tocchet

Do they have a non Anglo name? If not, rule them out.

When Manny was hired for Abby last year, I was really happy for him. It was a cruel fate that his eye was damaged in 2011 when he played here. He's in his mid-forties, which is young in NHL coaching terms, but that can be an asset.

By all accounts, he is a superb communicator. If we could keep coach Foote for the defense, he and Manny could be an effective tandem. If Toc takes Foote with him to Philly, then maybe Brad Shaw (Philly's interim coach) returns here to co-coach with Manny.

I can't stay down for long. I have to look for some positive shit to develop.

Gerard Gallant would be the most obvious pick in that group.

It's odd that he hasn't gotten back into the league yet, as he's had some impressive results. Obviously taking an expansion franchise to the finals is impressive, but he also turned a 66 point Florida Panthers team into an 103 point team in just two seasons. He took a Rangers team that failed to make the playoffs the previous season to the conference finals.

He'd arguably be the most accomplished coach to be hired by the team.
