I think it will be close. Some say Marner will get $13M per, I think Rantanen is not far off.
Marner will make more because the Leafs will pay him

Something like this and it also depends on term.It should be Rantanen, but it probably will be Marner who goes for the absolute max value he can get out of someone, while Rantanen at least stands a chance of taking a page out of MacKinnon's book and taking a little bit less than absolute max value to stay with the Avs.
Marner is leading the Leafs in points by a considerable amount so far. If he finishes the season as their leading scorer and does it with a decent amount then I feel he'll have grounds to ask for more.
