Who signs the bigger contract this summer: Rantanen or Marner?

It should be Rantanen, but it probably will be Marner who goes for the absolute max value he can get out of someone, while Rantanen at least stands a chance of taking a page out of MacKinnon's book and taking a little bit less than absolute max value to stay with the Avs.

Fair enough even though contracts are for the most part about the future and Marner hasn't won an Rocket of Hart trophy that's why I don't buy the argument and the Leafs shouldn't either.
