Who Should Get in the 2025 Rock n Roll HoF?

Soundgarden is easily the best band on that list and should be a slam dunk to get it. None of them can touch Cornell's voice and the range he had....

Bad Company - No. They've been eligible for a couple of decades. The reason they're not in is because they were not all that special. They're only nominated to make old voters happy.

The Black Crowes - No. Nothing bad to say about them, but they feel like a second tier 90s rock act.

Mariah Carey - No. She's fully qualified to get in, but she should be punished for that Christmas song.

Chubby Checker - Hell no. Dude wrote one song.

Joe Cocker - No. His only real hit was a ballad he did for a movie soundtrack.

Billy Idol - Yes. He had a surprising number of hits, but I almost said no strictly because of Eyes without a Face.

Joy Division/New Order - Yes. This one is more about the influence than the fame, but I have to give it to them there.

Cyndi Lauper - No. Feels like she was more a bit than anything.

Maná - No. Never heard of... Him? Her? Them?

Oasis - No. And I say this specifically because I want to see the UK's reaction when they don't get in.

Outkast - Yes. One of the bigger hip hop acts with Hey Yeah being a massive crossover hit.

Phish - No. Can a band more known for an ice cream flavor than their music get in?

Soundgarden - Yes. They were huge.

The White Stripes - Not yet. They'll get in, but they can wait.

As usual the RRHOF misses the boat with this cast of nominees. Soundgarden and Bad Company plus Chubby Checker as the senitmental pick are all that are worthy of this list. Yet still no Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, UFO, Scorpions, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Megadeth, Slayer etc. This institution is was and will continue to be a joke

With what you say about Bad Cimpany then Journey, foreigner and a couple other bands should not be in. It should be Free/Bad company nomination.i can name about 30 Bad company songs. I can name 1 outlast song like 80,% of this board

Thankfully, the RR HoF isn't stuck only going with what you listened to in high school.

I completely agree but I'm guessing a lot of those bands wouldn't even want to be inducted into to this joke of a hall of fame.

I'm not a fan of either band but I can only name three Bad Company songs while I can name 5 Outkast songs. I do like the Bad Company songs better though.

Your probably right on the bands not wanting to be inducted but Judas Priest did accept the musical excellence award when they werent inductted after finishing high in the poll that year. You would think the Holy Trinity of Sabbath, Maiden, and Priest would be no brainers, especially with the records sales all had but Sabbath and Ozzy solo were the only ones to make it.

I loved Bad Company as a kid but they fell of the map with me as I aged and I rarely listen to them now. Funny they signed w Zeppelin' record s label and everyone thought it was a vanity label and signing at the time and turns out they made Zeppelin a boatload of cash. The rich get richer.
