Berube or Woodcroft. However, this organization is out of touch and wont rid itself of Reirden and Sullivan.

Dubas catered to Sully. Our bottom six is atrocious - we pursued guys i capable and allergic to produce offense. Dubas is almost as useless as Hextall.

My take is that it should be a prior player with major clout.

I know this often doesn't work out. But I think we are in the rare situation where it WOULD work out. You can't bring in a college guy nor an unproven guy nor someone that's just a sloppy seconds/thirds. Why? You have highly spotlighted hall of famers on the roster that, in a pinch, are bigger than the team if you're being honest. You're gonna need someone to bring them back to Earth and really center the moment. These prior(s) floating around are just gonna come in and try to capture the monent and it won't last.

Random mid year game? Why would these guys care? Hall of famer behind you telling you that these moments are fleeting or that you need to shut the hell up? What are you gonna do? Sully had balls for about 1.5 seasons here. We all remember it. But looking at that objectively he was nothing and a relatively unimportant NHLer.

So yeah, I think a former (stud) player - - I'll reserve that spot for when I can really pin one down lol - should be our next bench boss.
Too bad they didn't hire Torts.
Guarantee you they would be in a play spot right now......and a hell I'd alot thought to play against.
I have no idea, but I do know this group of dummies is not the correct answer now, or moving forward.
Sullivan and company have talked of "figuring it out" during post game pressers , afyer first round eliminations, upon missing the playoffs, for the last 5 years ......over 400 games of blah, blah,, blah..... safe to say theyve been goven more than a fair shot.
Move out of the way already!

You keep saying this, but I don't believe you.

How can anyone not look forward to this coach turning every prospect we have during our rebuild into ZAR and Ruhwedel clones? Imagine how many 0-0 ties we can look forward to!
I love some no event hockey, it's true. It's like viagra to me.

Sullivan’s brand of hockey is stupid and dumb. There. I said it.

The Tyler Kennedy/Evan Rodrigues approach to offense isn't your cup of tea?

Why create chances and pick corners when you shoot when you can just fire a million shots into the unscreened goalie's chest logo to bump up that xGF%?

Sullivan was unproven and/or sloppy seconds and Crosby and Malkin took to him pretty well at first :dunno:

I just want a good hockey mind who's flexible and willing to try new things.
David Carle.

The moment you hire another one of these tossers that learned from another mediocre coach, you lose the outside the box thinking.

Carle is untainted and a good up and coming hockey mind doing great things in Minnesota.

I'd rather watch them tank than play like horseshit and still lose.
This is where I am at. Tank it to get Sully fired. Staging mediocre right now just solves nothing. It gives hope to Dubas that Sullivan holds value because now all he sees is an improvement over last year is a win when really last year wasn't a one off.

They going to demand a trade? they are a year or 2 from retiring.
Sid doesn't give a shit.

He wanted Jake on his line, got Jake. He wanted Letang signed and got it. He gets the entire franchise to bend to what he wants and a coach that gives him it. What's his reason to be disappointed? Not winning? If he was such a smart hockey mind, he'd see what is going on, the bigger picture vs just past his line and being content with that.

Johnston was 43-27 his first year and 15-10 got him fired. Sure he has no cups and sucks but he was fired for coaching the team to being inconsist and struggling at. Yet Sullivan is so far removed from his cups now that you need to look at his last 5 seasons as relevance and it isn't good.

They missed the playoffs last year and are 15-13-4 and Sullivan is still about safe as he was in 2017.
