Short of a miracle come back, Keefe is almost certainly gone.

So who should be next?

Peter Laviolette would be my choice.

We need a coach with credibility behind the bench and Laviolette has a cup, and 3 finals appearances under his belt.

He would NEVER allow Paul f***ing Maurice to out coach him.

That's all you need to know about how bad Keefe is.

He's allowing Paul f***ing Maurice to out coach him.

I suspect Gilliant will get a lot of votes, and I'm not against that either but he does tend to get fired quickly, to me that's a red flag and a rather big one.

Is it finally Bruce Boudreau time?

It's unlikely, but if Tampa ever decided to move on from Coop, his extended job interview in Toronto has gone extremely well. I'd take him.

if we don't dump dubas, it won't matter.

No dumping necessary. He's a free agent.

I would want a guy like a Brind'Amour who has been in the NHL some what recently that can relate to today's players but also won't take shit and can really control a locker room.

Can you imagine having Rod as a coach? Former cup winner and borderline hall of famer with over 1000 pts and a couple Selke trophies to his name. Nobody works harder than that guy. Even now at 50+yrs old. How do you not listen when that guys speaks and play hard?

Someone like that. Gary Roberts would be awesome but not sure he has any experience coaching. One guy I hear as a great up and coming coach is Steve Ott.

Matthews Nylander and Marner are up for extensions and have NTC's kicking in come July 1st. Getting a new GM should be the priority.

Yeah that might be enough to save Dubas job, getting extensions done with them is probably easier with Dubas as GM.

Steve Ott has no credibility

A coach who can think on the fly. Ours can not. We need a no nonsense coach who understands size on the wings wins in the playoffs.

I have not given up on winning this series yet as we are clearly the better team. I would move Laferty up to play with Mathews and Marner. He has speed and hits hard.

Then 90, 91,88
Then you spot in a 3rd line of
64, 15, 52
Spares play 4 to 5 minutes tops

He gets players playing the right way. Trouble is, players are soft and coddled and very few have grown up around real men, so they will only take it for a year or two before they start crying.

We had a no nonsense coach. They canned his ass because he was too rough with them. Now look at what you have, a freaking team that can't even compete in the second round despite being a more talented team.

Thanks Kyle Dubas, you made me into a fortune teller despite me desperately wanting to be wrong about my thoughts on the guy. Why can this organization never get anything right ever no matter what.

Similar records since Christmas, however the Panthers have been much better in these playoffs. The Leafs are not clearly the better team, either on paper, or on the ice.
