McDavid is my favorite current player to watch.
All time, probably Lundqvist and Gretzky.. liked Jonathan Toews also.
Never met any of 'em in person.

All-time- Bure, everytime he got the puck he did something exciting with it. Kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Now - Hughes, After the Benning era there was very little to cheer about. The team was bland and lacked entertainment. Then came along Hughes who brought instant entertainment. Similar to Bure, Hughes brings fans out of their seats everytime the puck is on his stick.

I guess I like the two players who brought the Canucks back to life after going through eras that were bleak.

Present: Ovechkin, Draisaitl

Past: Yzerman, Hemsky, Mario Lemieux, Havlat, Brett Hull, Doug Weight, Coffey, Bure, Fuhr, Curtis Joseph, Iginla

For present, unbelievably I'm also starting to warm up to Crosby and Malkin even though the Pens are one of my least favorite teams.

Big fan of McDavid. He seems like a introvert, self-focused, no BS and hard working individual, and a highly talented person who exploited his god given gift. Everytime Oilers play I look at the scoreboard hoping the guy has a multi-point game. Hope he racks as many Art Ross he can until he retires and obviously 1 or 2 cup for his legacy.
Dunno, after watching that Prime documentary I kinda feel he doesn't really enjoy hockey all that much.

OT: All time: Douglas Murray, right now: Travis Konecny (here's two names I bet nobody else will mention lol)

J.T Miller and it's not even close right now.

The only Palestinian player in the league (I'm not joking, look it up he's from East Palestine), he had to battle from day 1 of his career to be taken seriously. Even being seen by scouts in a hockey backwater like that is an accomplishment. But did he let that constant underdog mentality sour him and turn him into an completely toxic teammate and human being?

Absolutely not. He's made every team he's gone to better, and I'm definitely glad the notoriously difficult Vancouver media chose Miller as the guy to give a free pass for whatever off ice demons Jaxxson Tanner was dealing with this past fall, cause it's paid off in spades for him. He endured and persevered during his time in a difficult Canadian market and kept his chin up the whole time. That's my kind of teammate.

There was a thread on here a couple years ago calling him the "biggest bozo in the league" and I think that's deeply unfair. I wanna ask the creator of that thread how they feel now?

I can't wait to see him and Panarin work their magic with NYR. I think they're going to get on swimmingly.

Kaprizov.

A dog on the ice all heart and effort, and a complete character off. Seems like an awesome guy.

Long ago it was Yzerman #1, then Sakic and Modano. Thornton was up there too and have always liked him

I'd say it's still MacKinnon, since about 2015/2016. Recently asked amongst his Canada teammates who his Superbowl halftime act would be, he said Tragically Hip. That fella knows good, Canadian music right there!

I've never disliked Crosby, even after he trumped the Wings in '09. The older Sid has gotten though, I've liked him more and more. Grandpa Sid has to be right up there with Nate these days. Got to finally go see #87 live this season

Guys who I've also always appreciated are Shane Doan, Anze Kopitar, Rick Nash, Marty St. Louis
