As of right now, it’s Miller, but I think EP needs to go to a Columbus or Buffalo where he doesn’t face the scrutiny of Canadian hockey fans and media.

“Is” is a pretty easy question to answer right now, no?

“Who would you rather have?” might be a more interesting one, considering past play, age and contract status.

There’s quite literally no argument for Pettersson being better than Miller currently.

Any argument for Pettersson would be based on what he’s capable of in an ideal scenario.

But it’s been a year since we’ve seen that version of him, thus the answer to the question is Miller.

Currently, Miller is the better player. Pettersson has way more upside though. It's too bad Pettersson doesn't have more of Miller's alpha-male traits. If he'd pack on 20 more pounds and add more snarl to his game, Pettersson would be unstoppable.

J.T easily, Petterson is making 11.6 and not playing anywhere near that level.

Or maybe J.T is the "locker room cancer" everyone and their cousin seems to shout as a truth, i guess we will see in the long run.

Is this another "who should Canucks trade" poll?

Miller might be better right now, but it's unlikely they will win something significant with Miller- core right now is whole tier below than core of Oilers, or Avalanche.

He’s going to be 27 this year. He is capable of around a 100 point season as he has shown but I don’t think consistently, and I don’t think he has upside above that.

the only thing EP has on JT is age

that being said, the Canucks should pull a 2011 Philly and trade both EP and JT and retool

If one has to go it's EP. We send Miller and we will be known as a country club again where nobody cares. Miller is the leader here and gives a shit 100% of the time those are the players that win. Wish EP cared as much as he's more talented but not the player to lead.

If both are playing to their peak, it's Pettersson all day long.

Miller has a fiery personality that's considerably more visible then Pettersson's cold emotionless exterior which i think causes people to form the wrong impression of him.

When they're both off, Miller checks out and gives up on plays. Pettersson won't hurt you but he's not helping you either.
