Who is the BEST out of shape player of alltime?

Didn't Glenn Hall skip preaseason to paint his barn?

I'd love to see that excuse nowadays.

I don't know about all-timers, but Sergei Zubov was a beast for a dude who'd eat meat pies (chebureki) before games, and have cigarettes between periods. The meat pie is a personal memory from 1990, and I have chosen to define his pre-game by this.

Who was that high draft pick who couldn’t do a single pull-up?

After being drafted 12th overall, rookie Gary Roberts showed up at Flames training camp and couldn’t do even one pull up.

Most of us know how this story ends.

No, not with Roberts as a renowned fitness nut who still can whoop 70 percent of all active players.

As Phil Kessel’s trainer.

Players none of us witnessed play live is the answer! Many of the guys in 50s, 60s and much earlier were pretty good hockey players, training back then was much less or even non existent to many! Nowadays it is Kessel hands down, I am still always amazed how fast he is for a guy that doesn't look like a prototypical hockey player.

Mario Lemieux I'd say. He may not look out of shape when he was playing, but he loved to mentioned in summers how he never worked out and drank wine and ate hot dogs.

Phil Kessel has the chubby face and the media saying he's out of shape, but his fitness tests with the Leafs were always made public and he posted great results which the media never seemed interested in publicizing much. At one point he was the 3rd best on the team at the same time everyone was calling him fat and out of shape.

Doesn't he have disorder, chronic illness or something of that sort,
that makes his face all puffy/chubby like.
