Who is Expendable?

Fransen lead the Leafs in the worst +/- so that makes him the weakest link and expendable.

Who were the bottom 4 players (over the age of 22) in just about every important stat needed to be a successful team?
+\-
5 on 5 GA
Corsi
Whatever
Start there

Clarkson
Franson
Bolland (Holland should be given 3rd C duties)
Lupul
Orr
McLaren

Those are the players I would be okay with letting go, without much coming back.

Locked In: Gleason, Phaneuf, Clarkson, Orr.

RFA's: Franson, Reimer, Ashton.

UFA's: Raymond, Kulemin, McClement, Ranger.

Lupul
Reimer
Franson

The obvious

Gleason
Clarkson

If the Leafs could acquire some value for 3 of 5 of these players I'd call this offseason a success.

Franson
Clarkson - good luck
Raymond
Kulemin
McClement
Orr
Lupul
Phaneuf - for a good return

These are the guys I would like to see gone by next season.

I know plus/minus isn't everything, but if you look at the stats for the end of the year you see the prime offenders:

Worst on the team
Gleason -21
Franson -20
Lupul -15
Clarkson -14

Gunnarsson led the team with a plus 12, twice as good as the next closest player Bodie at plus 6. That's pretty impresive especially if he had a bad hip all year.

The 4 players above are the weakest link but since Clarkson isn't moving, start with those 3 and replace with better 2-way players.

Gleasons - is pretty much a direct result of Franson if not mistaken.
