I can't tell you why in my mind Grabner feels so much older. Granted he looks older than Hagelin, but it's this weird mental block.

He was unreal when he first came up in the 2011-12 season. Huge spark-plug in our top 6 that nearly beat out at least half a dozen icings per game. He also emphasized the changed team dynamics from a slow, plodding physical team into a quick-strike offense, pacey team under AV.If we are talking primes, Hagelin was more of an impact player.
In my mind Grabs is much older, for reasons I don't quite understand. But the reality is that he's all of 10 months older than Hags.
If you know there is a cap in the NHL, you knew Hagelin most likely would be gone. It was either him or Zuccarello and it was a no-brainer to keep Zucc over Hags.As under the radar as Fast is, Hagelin was more so. Losing him was a HUGE blow to the team that most of the fanbase didn't see coming.
