maybe, but notice how bbq is separate from burgers/hotdogs. They might have a separate professional brick pit BBQ set up in that fast food restaurant. Mayhaps this pictures is from San Antone y'all.(?)

Gotcha gotcha. I thought you were using the word Cookout and the fact that they served BBQ to argue that a cookout and a barbecue were the same thing. I definitely agree with you on this front, thought you were the enemy for a second.

It's a southeast chain. They also serve quesadillas. There are like 50 flavors of milkshakes

I want no part of fast food quesadillas, though I am pretty lucky with the Mexican & tex-mex scene in Texas

I've had BBQ from all over America. The best pork ribs I've ever had are from a shack in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.

Got a Weber Genesis II (propane) to replace my 15 y/o Weber.

Was seriously thinking of getting a wood/charcoal grill from Meadow Creek.

If you're in Austin you have to try Franklin's. It honestly was life changing.

Franklins is the best brisket just get ready to wait in line for 2 hours. Bring chairs and beer while you wait.

Salt Lick BBQ is good too near Austin if you want all you can eat brisket, ribs, sausage.

The wait is part of the experience (2-hours is generous, tbh. More like 3). Can't tell you how many days me and my roommates would get in line at 8 on a Saturday morning with lawn chairs and a case of beer & we'd get brisket and essentially tailgate for the UT game later that day.

Salt Lick is good too, but it's not as good as Franklin's.

salt lick's the best I've had, but I think there's better out there.

Really would like to go to Carolina sometime and try their BBQ. After eating the sweet sauce for so many years I think my tastes have changed to vinegar.

Honestly? It's probably the Carribbean. There's more flavor in a jerk-style barbecued chicken or side of pork than anything in any of those popular regions in the states.
