I feel...alone.
I was born in Memphis, TN, one of 4 regional areas known for great BBQ in America (the others being Kansas City, MO; The Carolinas; and Texas.) I'll be heading to Memphis in May this year to see the International BBQ Competition on Riverside Dr. It got me thinking; Which region in the USA or Canada (they got some good BBQ, I hear) has the best BBQ in North America? I might include Mexico if they have BBQ.
I'll have to be biased and say Memphis. They have two types of ribs ("wet" or "dry" ribs) and pulled pork sandwiches (though I don't eat said sandwiches with the traditional cole slaw as a topping). Although I didn't get into Memphis BBQ until the turn of the Millennium.
I would like to see your thoughts on which region is better.
