On paper, this is Edmonton. They have better names after the top 3 or 4 forwards. But the actual results always end up looking the same when I see the Oilers play. The depth guys do absolutely noting. The whole team just waits to see if McDrai can do everything.

I picked Colorado.

Colorado is just 2017/18-2018/19 Edmonton where McDavid and Draisaitl had to do everything except now it’s MacKinnon and Makar.

Meanwhile, Oilers are 4-2 without McDavid this season (and really it could have been 5-1 if Skinner hadn’t played poorly against Washington)

As for OP, Edmonton - though it's tougher to gauge because Colorado has been so destroyed by injuries all year.

I like Colorado's bottom 4 D much better on paper, but Edmonton is great at defending as a team.

Am I missing something didn’t the Avs receive 2 starting forwards in the deal for Rantanen? If this is about depth then if anything that move helped the Avs case.

And u mention Kane for EDM but aren’t the Avs also getting Nichushkin back ? Plus maybe Landy too?

It's amazing how that despite the terrible Oilers D and goaltending, the team is 7th in goals against.

Now lets take a look where Colorado is *pulls out magnifying glass* oh right.... down in 21st.

The Avs are barely a playoff team right now lol.

There's something hilarious about this coming from a Stars fan considering how going into the playoff matchup last year between our teams everyone was absolutely positive with 100% certainty that Dallas' depth would be way too much to handle for Edmonton lmao. All that supposed depth could barely piss a drop.
