WJC: Who has been the most surprising player so far?

To me it has been Kapanen. Before the season there were talks that he might play in NHL this season.

Nah, Virtanen has been pretty average so far.

Demko has been a complete standout, has played way beyond my expectations. His Quickness, with his size is something great to watch, he really reminds me of Luongo, Bishop or even a little bit of Quick.
 
Have to admit Connor McDavid hasn't really impressed me much.

Nice player. but he hasn't stood out amongst his peers at this tournament at all.

They are 1 or 2 years younger than most of the other players in this tournament and they play on very deep teams.
The draft eligible players for Canada and the USA that are expected to get picked high always get over hyped.
 
Puljujärvi. Nobody really expected him to do anything at this level yet but he has been Finland's 2nd best forward behind Rantanen.

I'd say Domi. I think most people knew he was good but not this good. He has brought so much intensity to the line and the team and has been scoring goals, which he's not really fully known for.
 
Bjorkstrand - I haven't seen him much but impressive

Larkin - Playing outstanding and consistent

Tiffels - no real help with him but stands out

Nurse - finally looks engaged, focused and prepared

Most of all the goaltenders have been very impressive

Disappointments ,

Hicketts - disappeared when playing a good team

Kapaanen - Is he even playing ?

Milano - Stop worrying about you tube videos and play hockey the way he can Hasn't been bad but is much more capable than he is showing. I think he's going to make a major impact moving forward. He's definitely capable

From what I have seen

Morrissey

Nurse
Reinhart
 
Hands down for team canada it's been petan. Didn't expect him to be driving most of team Canada's offence from the third line (especially the first two games).

I don't think he was on anyone's radar for this kind of production prior to the tournament.

Also have loved watching den marks goalie, Sorensen.
