Who gets the A's?

We had numerous guys wearing them last year throughout the season with the likes of Liles, Komi, Armstrong, Kessel, Connolly, Schenn, Grabo.

Has it been said who the permanent alternates will be? If not what would your guesses be?

I'm assuming Grabo and Komi if and when he plays.

Likely Grabo and Komi still, but if I had my way it'd probably be Lupul instead of Komi.

Lupul and Grabovski imo right now. Liles might be deserving of an A, but I don't think he really fits into our long-term plans. If both Rielly and Gardiner are in our top-4, Liles won't have a role to play. If Carlyle feels Kessel has worked hard enough, I wouldn't have a problem with him having the A. Down the line I think Rielly would be a great Assistant captain once he's been here a few years. Phaneuf with the C, Rielly with an A, and one of Lupul, Kessel, JVR, Gardiner, or Biggs with the other A would be great.

The Leafs haven't had a true assistant captain since Roberts or Kaberle.
