That's just objectively false. His chance creation numbers are well below several of his teammates. In fact, the Hawks generate significantly more 5v5 high danger chances with Bedard on the bench.

His HDCF/60 is worst on the team among the 16 players with >600 mins of ice time at 5v5.

Donato has been great.
Take his last goal for example:

Bedard drives the net, gets a shot off, gets his own rebound and gets another shot off, Donato follows up on the second rebound and scores.

Previous game he was on a line with Bedard and Mikheyev, hat trick vs Vegas.
First goal was a breakaway off a 60ft pass from Del Maestro.
Second was a tic tac toe play during a delayed penalty.
Bedard to Kaiser to Veleno to Donato.
Third goal starts with a sick play by Bedard:




So 3 of Donato's 4 last goals all featured Bedard on the creation of the scoring chance.
This takes nothing away from Donato, he's been great. But anyone who watches the games can see where the chances are being created.
