Who else is excited for Playoffs?

The team is playing sloppy right now and the coaching staff might have trouble to get them to focus and apply the system again but in the playoffs, everybody is focus and they'll come around.

I'm thinking their minds may already be on the playoffs which is why they seem so lazy and distracted right now.

I couldn't help it. Another two reasons to be optimistic:

1) PK Subban is having a Norris-caliber season and has proven he can carry his team offensively and defensively at many points this season. He is leading all defensemen in the league. He is a game-breaker.

2) Lars Eller has pretty much doubled the amount of points he had at this point last season. He is a different player and he has shown great chemistry with Galchenyuk, who just had his best month as a Montreal Canadien playing minimal minutes. These two have the potential to make up a dominating third line that an opposing team can not match up to. That ties into what I said last post about having a deep offense, but screw it, I wanted to point out Larry and Chuck specifically.

What I love about the playoffs is seeing who will step up as heroes.

Will Gio, Moen, Gorges, Subban step up like they have for MTL in the past?

Will Price go Halakian on our opponents?

Who will be our Cammy? Our Lapierre? Our Gill? Our Moore?

Soooo pumped for that at least.

I'm not expecting much but I know anything can happen in the playoffs. You would have to be a pretty crappy fan to not be excited about the playoffs. If you can't get excited for that then what's the point of being a fan?

I think Galchenyuk.

I think this losing streak can possibly work to our advantage. I now think every team will underrate us, which could be a mistake.
We all remember that magical year when we beat the Pens and Caps before losing to Flyers.
This could happen again, but only with one caveat- CP has to play like Havlet did in the playoffs that year. This is MUST!
Can CP be the man? Even though I'm not a paid member of his fan club, I still hope and pull for his success.

The only thing that can work in our advantage right now is these weak away from home and the boys spending time together

The playoffs are a fresh start. They should call themselves the febreeze brothers cuz it feels so fresh right now.

“Obviously it’s not fun and nobody likes to see this, but I think it’s good for us to face some adversity,” offered Subban. “I came here a little late [this season], but since I’ve been here it’s been pretty good coming to the rink every day and winning games and winning a lot more than losing. Right before the playoffs, I think it’s good for us to have a little edge.”

“Teams that come in hungry and on a roll are teams that go far in the playoffs,” Moen explained. “We’ve got three games here to turn it around and get feeling good about our game again. Good teams are close teams and for us to be able to go on the road and go out for dinners together and stuff like that to get ready for the playoffs is a good thing. It’s just staying positive, getting things rolling and playing like we were the first 20 games. If we can do that, we’ll be fine.”

If you think of it, if we were to go on a losing streak, it couldn't have come at a better time. Like you said, if Price can step up to the plate like he has shown he could before, this could be a huge year for us.

How can someone NOT get excited for the playoffs after watching that video. Holy crap!

I hate to put the bulk on one man, but teams usually win in the playoffs because they are riding their hot goalie.
Most of my skepticism centers around one Carey Price. I just don't trust him enough. Sigh!

While that definitely applies to the Bruins and the '93 Habs, among others, that isn't always the case. When the Blackhawks won the cup, Niemi had a GAA of 2.63, and that is with the elite Chicago Blackhawks defense corps we heard so much about! Including all the recent blowouts, Carey Price has a GAA of 2.59. Obviously GAA doesn't tell the whole story, but that is just to say that goaltending doesn't always make or break the playoffs. Hockey is still a team sport and with a resilient team you can overcome any goal deficit.

Price is playing really poorly right now, but if he can bounce back and at least play alright, our deep offense and quality offensive defensemen could maybe provide the scoring stability needed to be relied upon.

Sorry for posting another thread with the exact same title. I'm nursing an eye injury so I'm literally a little blind. ;) I think that going into the playoffs with home ice advantage as well as being considered the underdog is quite the combination to upset against the teams we're playing against. I think the next few games will determine if we're even underdogs though. There's a lot of character on this team and the playoffs are a time for hardworking, character guys.

Also,

Is there a way to block people from an iPhone or is only doable on a CPU?

Injury to the other eye should work :sarcasm:

This team has enough character to bounce back, and just to be full proof, the capacity crowd at the Bell will make sure they provide the last adrenaline shot on day 1 of the new season.

This guy is not worried.
