Who else has very little interest in the Four Nations tournament?

I don't think players are going to hit their NHL teammates. Nor are they going to take pucks to uncomfortable places.
Do you think every one of these guys is on the same NHL team?

Is he going to play right after the tournament?

If he does, it makes a mockery out of the tournament.

I don’t see why it should be any different than a player that sits out the ASG.
Another classic Buchnevich post, doubling down on a bad take.

One guy declines the tournament and it's a "mockery".

So let's get it straight. Your argument is that Quinn Hughes, who has missed four consecutive games, is not actually injured?

Another classic @bossram post lashing out in rude fashion because someone said something about your favorite team's player that you don't like.

It absolutely makes a mockery out of international hockey when players and their teams decide that "it's not as important" as some random NHL game in late February.

Quinn Hughes isn't the only guy injured. Plenty of players are playing through injuries at that tournament because representing their country is important enough to them. Maybe Hughes really cannot play. I'm not asking him to drag himself out on the ice if he says he can't go, but he also shouldn't be playing in an NHL game like 4 days after the tournament ends.

We’re finally getting a taste of seeing dream line combos for the first time in almost 10 years. I’m not joining the online geek circle jerk that it sucks just because it’s the cool thing to do on social media

Hughes missed four consecutive games. Your argument literally is that an injured player who is missing games for his NHL team is, in fact, not injured. This is a delusional take. To point that out is not rude, it's just the truth. Sorry bud.

Yes. I think the tournament will be fun and entertaining! Everyone complains we never get to see the best players play against each other. Finally we get to see some dream combinations/matchups and....everyone complains. C'mon.

You are deliberately ignoring what I referred to. I grant you he hasn't played games leading up to the tournament. I am talking about after the tournament. If he's playing the Canucks next game, obviously he wasn't incredibly injured and in no shape to play at this tournament.

Crosby didn't play his team's last game either. He didn't pull out of the tournament. The idea that he has a free pass because he didn't play the last game before the tournament for his NHL team is bogus. You just make yourself look bad by using ad-hominem attacks instead of debating respectfully.

It's a delusional take. That the take is delusional is not an ad hominen.

Quinn didn't miss just "the team's last game". He's been out four games and missed time earlier in the season as well. There is clearly an injury there. It's only now that you actually concede there is an injury, rather than this ridiculous denial of any injury and that pulling out is making a "mockery" of the tournament.

Even if he plays the Canucks first game after the tournament, does that mean he wasn't hurt? It's not possible after two weeks he could be healthy enough to play? What is the appropriate amount of time to heal from this injury, Dr. Buchnevich?

Quinn didn't play the 4 NHL games before the tournament for his team that is a battle for a playoff position, why should the Canucks get penalized because he is injured?

I question if people who aren’t interested in this tournament are actually hockey fans, or just fans of their team.

This will be the highest quality hockey in a decade. Literally the first time we’ve seen players like Crosby, McDavid, and MacKinnon play Matthews, Eichel and Hughes.

True although it seems that every grievance in hockey needs to be aired to "international games" and or the hatred of the NHL by some fans for their own personal reasons.

It's replacing the all star game and like you state will be the highest quality of international hockey that we have seen for some time so as a hockey fan I'll watch it and if people don't want to then do something else.

Olympics or bust, stopping the seasonf or 2 weeks for this is just bananas. If anyone of note gets injured, even worse. Is this really a best on best? how does it grow the game? Russia isn't there, I complety agree why not - dont get me wrong.

Germany, Switzerland and several other hockey nations are always good for some upsets.

Not a fan at all.

what are the chances players get hurt for a 2 week tournament. oh man heads will roll and pitchforks will be coming out.
