Who else has very little interest in the Four Nations tournament?

This is an exhibition and a tryout for some players for the real tournament, the Olympics.

Best on best international hockey has been neutered since 2014. The NHL understands it has value and fans crave it, thus they throw us a bone like this and previously like the stupid U23 team etc.

The NHL wants their hands in the International cookie jar, but has no concept on how to pull it off.

Give us an Olympics every 4 years with NHL players. Just enough time in between tournaments to build anticipation and create a special atmosphere. Any more than that at this point is too much.

This tournament seems like the NHL is trying to make up it's own thing because of pros not being in the Olympics.
It's dumb that it's happening during the season. I think it is going to stir up even less interest from non-NHL fans than the Olympics.

It's basically a way for the owners to sneak 7 more games into the NHL season to make more money.

I've been waiting World Cup for ages. It's sad that some people seem not to approciate seeing superstars like McDavid and Crosby playing together on their national jerseys.

So f***ing excited about this. Only thing whats sad is that there is no 8 teams, Czech especially should be there.. or atleast 6. But guess less games makes it easier to be arranged.

People who whine about this being middle of the season don't perhaps know that this is what PLAYERS wanted. Bet the injury risk is much lower than if this was in September for example. Also, if this was in "off-season" that would be just off their holidays, no player likes that.

The players will dictate whether it's worth watching or not. That's it , play hard , fans will love it , if they don't , nobody will care and the tourny will be considered a joke

Most my favs will be on a beach resting up.. Hronek, Bouch, Drai, Pasta, Necas.. expect them to have strong second halfs after this thing. I will watch though because

There's more interest in the Québec international peewee tournament than this stupidity held by the corrupt nhl in Montréal. Let them fail.

Only the Olympics will ever matter in International Hockey as long as the game of Hockey exists. And that kills the soul of american capitalist bettman that he wasn't able to americanize international Hockey like he's done with his pet project the "nhl".

Are you aware that we had Canada Cups from 76 to 91?

Three World Cups after that although the 2016 version was a gimmicked up version. Another world cup in 28.

The Olympics will always be there and the NHL will participate when it makes business sense to do so. I don't like that... I feel it should be all or none but 4 Nations and World Cups are not replacing the Olympics and NHL participation.
