Who else has very little interest in the Four Nations tournament?

Kind of stupid they didn’t do 5 nations and include Russia. Although I doubt Ovi would partake it would have been nice to see him with the younger Russian guys. Rosters are going to be interesting that’s for sure. CAN and USA def have some interesting choices to make filling out the rest of the line up.

Who cares. Even if it was just USA vs Canada best on best thats enough for any real fan of the sport to get excited. I guarantee you and everyone here will watch it.

Oh stop gatekeeping. People can be fans however they want. There is no "real fan" BS. Just because I don't want to gobble up everything the NHL is trying to sell me, doesn't make me a fake fan. The only good thing about this tournament is that it replaces the All-Star game for a year.

I think it will be a very enjoyable tournament. You will have the best of players playing for 4 of the 5 top countries.

For some players this may be the last time you get to see them play for their country, while others will be playing hard to impress enough to get considered for the next Olympics.

Russia might not even play in the next Olympics either, so I am not very concerned about their absence here.

Since they aren't including all the primary international teams, they should have just bit the bullet and did a USA VS Canada Best Of 7 series.

Make it so the losing captain has to hand the winning captain a championship belt and put it around his waist. With the idea being the winning team is the ultimate hockey nation. Play into the fears that Canadians have about the USA inevitably overcoming them as the top producer of hockey talent to get Canada to care about the series and support the team.

Maybe allow expanded rosters and they can have people gamble their life savings trying to guess the exact lineup and if you guess the exact lineup for every game you get entered into a raffle for a Kia Sorento.

No wars are ok but reasons and future plans counts. US have had some bad ones(And the medeling in gasa, israel, hate that), but not as bad as Russias current one. Disaster for young Russians and Ukrains. Like Sweden would attack Finland, stupid as fk.

Still dont care about the tounament. They could do a Canada US team to.

I understand the why with the political situations but a tournament without Russia is not as interesting to me.
