Wrong Chicago player. Max Domi would be a better move. Costs less assets than most of the forwards out there would. I wouldn't really look at his advanced stats, since Chicago is a dumpster fire. When he was on decent teams, his numbers were a lot better (see Carolina last year). He's just getting tons of opportunity on Chicago to put up points playing with Kane.
The fit here is playing him with Panarin. Worst case, you give up a 2nd on a player that can be a 2nd/3rd liner for you and you have space to get a rental LD (none of the players mentioned above). Moves Vesey and Goodrow into better lineup spots and doesn't sacrifice playing time for a young guy since Gallant doesn't play them in that spot.
For a LD, since the combo of Hajek/Harpur/Jones doesn't seem to be preferred by the coach, I'd look into Gostisbehere. Again, another player in a dumpster fire, so his analytics look like trash there. When he was on Philly, they were respectable. He's a puck mover, and would take over PP2 from Trouba (a HUGE plus). He'd be sheltered on a 3rd pair and not a top pair as he is now. Would think it wouldn't cost a lot for him either.
