which player on your favorite team inspires the most controversy or debate within your fanbase? what’s the nature of the debate?

not interested in players who are polarizing for non-hockey reasons (e.g., personal beliefs, political stances, etc.)

I’d say that Kyrou is the most divisive within the Blues’ fandom. He had been a purely offensive player for the last couple seasons, but he’s made some positive strides in 2025 on his defensive game.

Back in 2023, Kyrou wasn’t sorry enough when Berube got fired, so fans booed him and he got choked up about it. Some fans still dislike him for it, which is stupid.

i remember that, people got bent out of shape about the ‘no comment’ response

Kind of ironic because i remember berube had his own brief controversy over a “no comment” he dropped..

berube’s was worse IMO

Edit: damn I think I just broke my own rule about non-hockey controversy

Pierre Engvall looks irrelevant and scared of any physical contact until mid March when he finally starts to wake up.
