I will never understand the people that say they don't care about winning.
Even if ownership is strictly about money, winning is good for business, as much money as they make, they'd make more money if they won.

If you care about money, you care about winning because winning = more money.

It's not a hard concept.

......and yet it can be tough for some to grasp.

Funny thing is from the 2000s to early/mid 2010s both teams were actually managed worse and weren’t even watchable. I was really never enthusiastic for hockey season during those years and didn’t wanna talk about it. Saying ownership doesn’t care about winning is nonsense though. Ownership would love if Jays went to World Series or got back to 2015-16 ways where the whole country was crazy about them.

Not defending them as both teams seem to have similar flaws, but it could be a lot worse having no hope like those years. Raptors were even in same category before 2019.
