I'd say his most likely destination is Minnesota, they're in need of a 1C the most and don't want to waste Kaprizov's prime by not giving him a proper center.

Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Caufield
Demidov - Larkin - Newhook

Would look really good

I would prefer Thomas or Hischier, but Larkin would be all right too

I’d kind of like to see him in Montreal, Minnesota or Philly where he is well needed.

Why not wait for McDavid?

I can already envision it. Bettman get new TV deal in America and then resigns as commissioner in 2 years.
McDavid sign with Habs in 2 years too. Habs win Cup in 1st year without Bettman as commissioner and break Bettman curse.
McDavid gets Cup and Habs reclaim place at top as royalty/crown jewel franchise of NHL.

He'll go to whichever team he decides. He's fully claused up, I'm guessing the Wild is where he's going to want to go.

I'm sure the Flyers have big interest. They desperately need a good C and they have plenty of cap space. Could offer some decent prospects and picks to make Detroit think about.
Don't know what Larkin thinks about. 😁

Why would he agree to go to the Islanders if he wants to win? Especially if Barzal is going the other way? He would want him on the team!
Would depend on the reason he requested a trade. Doubt Detroit just gives him away because he wants out.

But sure if it's because he wants to win then he's got maybe 5 teams he could get traded too and almost none of them have the cap or assets, or both, to make such a trade

Yzerman will not want to trade Larkin to a division rival. So for Montreal to get him, they would need to overpay or Larkin would need to have a very small list of teams he's willing to go to that includes Montreal.

Ya and SY will likely want a good player back, like Demidov or something else.

Minnesota really needs him and Guerin loves his Team USA guys.

Plus I think he'll waive for them without hesitation. Closest team to where he is now (out of the ones listed)
