Same with Montreal... two one goal games, one of those was in OT, and the last game was two empty nets.
Don't worry when your Sens lose, you'll get the same respect in the handshake line Toronto got vs Florida where they lost 3 1 goal games.

There were 4 regular season teams worse than the Sens that made the playoffs but sure.

If you count the wild that tied yes. But the Wild didn't have Kaprizov or Erikson Ek and the Blues didn't have Parayko.
Given who they were missing vs have now id say they were better teams in the regular season

The other one is the blues who switched coaches and ever since then have been a dominant. The first half of their season bad once they got a new coach outstanding.

but but but. it just feels as if you don't want to give the Sens any credit, when they were a top 6 in win% after dec 1. If you want to go to the date that Monty was hired it goes up to 5th.
its extremely likely that the Sens fail to come back, but giving other team excuses while refusing to acknowledge that Ottawa had a good regular season after a poor start is asinine.

I don’t even think they need enough power plays, they need the bounces and the right players to heat up/learn. It’s still a longshot, but a) Washington is older, b) Demidov and Hutson didn’t have any experience, now they have.. barely any. But they’re playing huge roles and the games have been close, both seem to learn quickly- it could be just enough to make a 2-1 game a 2-3 game.
Probably not, especially if Wilson keeps clean concussions coming, but they might have a chance.
Plus no Laine, so that.. hurts? Or..

Devils are too hurt/have an 25% of an AHL squad playing/Carolina too godly at home
Washington are elite finishers and Dobes would have to pull a 2010 Halak
Vasy is sucking ass/TB's elite finishing/powerplay has gone to hell
Leafs are the best team they've had in years, only opening here is if Stolarz is a sieve and Ullmark goalies Toronto but I can't see Ottawa winning 4 straight
