Which team do you associate TJ Oshie with more?

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

He was cool with St. Louis and became a Cap unfortunately. I remember him as a Capitals player for sure.

When I envision him in my head, it's always in a USA sweater taking multiple shots in the shootout in 2014 against Russia, and scoring on most of them. Also for some reason I was misremembering that game in my head as a quarterfinal, but it was actually a round-robin game when I just looked it up.

To answer the question posed by the thread, it's the Capitals for me.

He played a bit more with Washington, but had his highest scoring seasons with St Louis

He also only ever did this in Washington, which is how he will be remembered the most ultimately.

Here are the playoff stats:

GP-G-A-P
STL: 30-5-4-9
WSH: 76-29-31-60

Oshie played in St. Louis and left his mark in Washington.

Nationally I’m gonna assume it’s moreso Washington. As a Blues fan who grew up in STL, my dad had season tickets from 2006-2020. I was just going to into highschool when Oshie arrived and brought in a crazy amount of excitement and hope to the team. We made playoffs for the first time post lockout that year and I’ll never forget chanting his name after the last game of the season. To me he will always be remembered as a Blue. But he certainly accomplished more as a cap.

I’m yet another non Caps fan who will always remember his as a parts of the Blues. Caps fans are right in that he SHOULD be remembered as part of their team, but for whatever reason, it just isn’t that way for me (and apparently a lot of others in this thread)
