Florida Panthers.

Jackets and Panthers both spring to mind when I hear his name. But the Cup win with Florida cemented that image now for me.

Philly is an afterthought for his career.

By the end of his career he will have spent more seasons in Florida.
I'd go with Panthers even more now as he won the Cup with them.

He definitely was at his peak in Columbis though.

I think if more people saw him in Columbus in the first place, that would probably be the primary place that came to mind. Because he had his Hasek like runs there.

When his current contract is up he'll have played the same amount of seasons between Columbus and Florida, with I believe fewer regular season games with the Panthers, but significantly more playoff games than he had with the Blue Jackets. This of course is assuming he doesn't re-sign with the Panthers, but at 37 we'll see how he feels.

Unless a player's individual accomplishments are so many and so prestigious with one franchise compared to another, I err to the franchise he won a Championship with while playing a significant role. The Vezina's with Columbus are excellent no doubt, but Bob has backstopped Florida to back-to-back Finals and won a Cup. This isn't like Borque finishing a long career with Boston to win one Cup with Colorado in a a season and a bit played there, Bob's been a core piece of Florida for years now.

He'll always be the #1 cop on the force in my mind.

I still associate him with Columbus as that was his prime and his incredible regular season runs. Glad he got his Cup I just think while it's playoff performance or bust for some people, doing things like having a SV% over .930 in over 60 appearances is wild.

For now, Columbus. It’s where he achieved nearly all of his individual accomplishments. 2 Vezina wins, couple of All-Star nods, Hart finalist. Granted, those were all over the course of two of his seven seasons, but he does have some other Vezina votes in three other seasons. There’s also the interesting footnote of stonewalling the 62 win high powered juggernaut Lightning.

On the flip side, his last two seasons, including the postseason, have really lifted his Florida stock in both individual and team based accolades.

If he keeps it up in Florida, perhaps the perception will change, particularly if he ends with them and leaves that lasting impression.

The first point to bring up would be his first Vezina season. What a lot of folks don't know is that he was like a .900 goalie sharing the net for the first half of that year. Then he pops and goes like .946 in the second half, playing nearly every game.

Without a doubt he is considered a Blue Jacket to Jackets fans as he is arguably the most decorated player to ever put on the sweater and is a top 3 player of all time in Columbus. That may be more a sign of how terrible the franchise has been created/obtaining elite level players in 25 years.

He should not even be considered the best goalie in Panthers history with Luongo having nearly double his win total.

Might be a lot of recency bias to it, but i'd say the Panthers. I think the biggest factor is that it's where he's got that Cup ring. The Vezinas in Columbus are definitely a consideration if i really stop to think about it...but initial gut impression is, that Cup Win and playing more on the biggest stage in the playoffs tips it to associating him more with Florida.
