Some games turn into a very aggressive and physical endeavor. Which "soft" skill player decides he's had enough and would like to throw some big hits too, rather than just try to dodge the other team's hits? Who has that hip check inside of them waiting for the right moment to come out?

Choose 5 players that you could most see responding with that kind of fierce physicality if push came to shove. Poll selections came from a list of thirty players with around 50 or less (small or big) hits last year.

I saw Panarin, who only had 14 hits last year, threw a solid hipcheck yesterday. So that brings on this poll, but with some different guys of all ages and ability, but similar aversion to hitting. As far as I know - correct anything in the comments.

I'll probably take the guys with the lowest amount of votes to start a new poll with just them.

Easily Buchnevich since he plays a gritty game, not a soft one.

That’s the case for a few others as well.

A lot of those guys don’t even fit the mold so I’ll exclude them. Out of the guys I do think fit the mold I went with Bratt, Zucc, Barzal, Zegras, and Eklund

Soft players I see as perimeter players avoiding contact and contested areas of the ice.
Suggest some players who you'd be at least moderately surprised to see a hip check from! The next poll will probably be 10 or so players, the ones not voted for in this one, but try to make a list of 30.

Guys with 3 votes or less include: Marner, Skinner, Huberdeau, Keller, Caufield, Barzal, Boldy, Strome, Nyquist, Duchene, Eklund, Drouin, Stephenson, Kuzmenko, Kane, Novak, Perfetti, Atkinson, Kyrou. If everything remains similar to how the poll is going now.

So after eliminating the "harder" guys, a poll will be made with 10 or so of these, plus any suggestions. Big guys shouldn't be totally excluded.
