Which series are you the most interested in (most to least)?

I'll watch as much as I can of every series except Carolina vs New Jersey and Vegas vs Minnesota. Those two don't interest me in the slightest. If I see that one is heading into OT, I may tune in for that but that's it.

Tampa Florida
Dallas Colorado
Toronto Ottawa
Montreal Washington
Winnipeg St. Louis

I'm excited for Leafs vs Sens (obviously), Tampa vs Florida, Avs vs Stars, and Oilers vs Kings.

The rest are not as exciting. They seem too one-sided or just don't have the same vibe as the other series.

Excluding the Avs, it depends a lot on what happens in the series.

For example, if Washington sweeps Montreal, it becomes less appealing. If it’s going 6 or 7 games, that’s a different story.

Same kind of goes for St Louis Winnipeg. But I also think that has the sneaky potential to be a short series in St Louis’ favor. They’ve been on a tear recently, even though Winnipeg has consistently been up there also. Hopefully it goes 7.

The Minnesota vs Vegas series could be boring or it could turn into one of the best and most physical series. If Kolesar or Stone cross the line and it’s not called, Minnesota is a team who will retaliate.

Carolina - NJ doesn’t really move the needle.

No slight to the fans of either fan base but again with Edmonton LA?! Enough already!

Florida -Tampa is up there.

Ottawa Toronto has a lot of reasons for intrigue.

Interested in all series except CAR vs. NJ.

For the CAR vs. NJ series, just have the captains skate to center ice, best of three "rock, paper scissors" and winner moves on to the second round.

Rangers fan checking in.
  1. Toronto-Ottawa - The battle of Ontario series back in the late 90s/early 00s were epic, and I'm very much looking forward to what should be a bloodbath.
  2. Carolina-New Jersey - I live in metro Charlotte, so I've adopted the Canes as my 2nd team (as long as the Rangers aren't playing them). Looking forward to seeing the Canes knock the Devils out too!
  3. Tampa Bay-Florida - This one will also be a bloodbath!
  4. Winnipeg-St. Louis - Hoping playoff Hellebuyck shows up and the Jets advance.
  5. Vegas-Minnesota - Looking forward to a Minnesota upset, plus Fleury's opponent is his old team.
  6. Washington-Montreal - Pulling for a MTL upset, really just want the Caps to lose
  7. Dallas-Colorado - Meh, I'd prefer both teams to lose honestly
  8. Los Angeles-Edmonton - 4th straight year for this series, yawn

Imo 6 out of 8 series look pretty interesting with a lot of great story lines

1 St Louis Winnipeg. In no way does the Pres trophy winner deserve to play the best team since February but here we are. Best aspects of hockey in this series: crazy offense, world class goaltending, insane hitting

2 Washington Montreal. Best case scenario for the league and the sport is another Ovechkin Cup victory, especially after he just passed Gretzcky. Montreal is no easy 8th seed either, super talented and tough matchup for the best of the east

3 Tampa Florida. Could be a cup final this series will have everything as well. Really looking fwd to these two teams who bought in crazy at the tdl just to have one of em bounced round 1

4 Toronto Ottawa. As someone living in Canada its always a story the last few years having the Leafs in the playoffs and this year playing another Canadian team round 1 should be fireworks

5 Dallas Colorado. For a while thought this would be an epic series but Dallas looks broken lately, not too confident they will make a series of this. But if they do then I think can be a force and make my projection quite wrong

6 Edmonton La. Will be interesting to see if we all correct this is the year LA gets past Edmonton, but theyre kinda boring team imo but this will still be a good series. The McDrai insanity is also always entertaining

7 Minny Las Vegas Golden Knights. Still doubt a healthy Minny will be any serious threat to LVGK. Should be a short series

8 Carolina Jersey. Canes should take this one easy breasy

Washington Capitals vs Montreal Canadiens: (Interest level 10/10) I'm obviously biased in this one.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Ottawa Senators: (Interest level 8/10) There should be a lot of hate. Whichever team makes it through could be severely banged up for round 2.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs Florida Panthers: (Interest level 7/10) Another solid rivalry between two elite teams.

Los Angeles Kings vs Edmonton Oilers: (Interest level 7/10) Is the 4th time the charm for the Kings? There should be no love lost in this one.

Dallas Stars vs Colorado Avalanche: (Interest level 7/10) Two other great teams + the Rantanen angle.

Winnipeg Jets vs St-Louis Blues: (Interest level 6/10) It would be nice to see the Jets with some playoff success.

Vegas Golden Knights vs Minnesota Wild: (Interest level 3/10) Meh.

Carolina Hurricanes vs New Jersey Devils: (Interest level 1/10) Also meh.
Identical ranking for me.

Leafs/Sens: "Who do I hate less?" is a terrible way to approach life, but a perfect reason to enjoy playoff hockey.

Tampa/Florida: Notwithstanding the obvious talent, I think whichever team wins gets beaten in round-2.

LA/Edmonton: Oilers should be on a mission, but it all depends on McDrai's health.

Dallas/Colorado: Dallas was my pick last year. Still a great roster, even without Heiskenen, but Colorado looks massive, and if Landeskog's back... wow.

Jets/Blues: I like both teams, but this should be Hellebuyck's year.

Vegas/Wild: Good season for Minnesota, but Vegas should take this.

Canes/Devils: NJ looks like they have superior talent, but inferior health. Canes are solid enough to take this one.

Habs/Caps: My team's series! I've always liked Washington, so watching Ovechkin advance will be the consolation if they win. But Montreal keeps proving the naysayers wrong.

Not including the Blues/Jets as a Blues fan I am most looking forward to:

Dallas/Colorado
Toronto/Ottawa
Florida/Tampa

Tor v Ott - want to see play off baby Tkachuk perform
Jets v St L - I want to see Schenn knock Schenn into next week
Edm v LA - round 4, it never gets old, get at it
FLA v TBL - cooper v Maurice 2 most cerebral coaches in hockey
Caps v Mtl - old man Ovi against upstart kids

Vegas v Minnie - If Geurin and McPhee squared off at center ice, I might watch otherwise that one and Car v NJD are equally not interesting to me.

From most-to-least in the 1st round:

1 - Stars vs Avalanche. Handily the most interesting series to me, personally.

2 - Lightning vs Panthers. As far as the eastern series go, I'll be keeping a very close eye on this one.

3 - Kings vs Oilers. Invested in seeing how the Oil do, although I'm a little sick of seeing the Kings in the 1st round.

4 - Leafs vs Senators. Not a lot of interest in the Leafs, but am definitely looking forward to seeing how the Sens do.

5 - Jets vs Blues. If there's going to be a notable upset in the 1st round, I believe it'll be this series.

6 - Capitals vs Canadiens. Much like with the Sens, I'm curious to see how this young Habs will do in the playoffs.

7 - Golden Knights vs Wild.

8 - Hurricanes vs Devils.

An all-Canadian final four would be fun so that makes a big impact on the series I'm interested in:

1. TOR - OTT
2. MTL - WAS
3. EDM - LAK
4. WIN - STL
5. TBL - FLA
6. DAL - COL
7. CAR - NJD
8. MIN - VGK

I'm an Oilers fan, so I have to choose that one, but there is another layer to it in that we have a ton guys returning from injury so there's some curiosity about how it pans out

But the rest,

1. Toronto-Ottawa (great old rivalry. Oddly if Toronto loses I love the lol factor, but I'd feel better about them winning. I'd love if they swept the Panthers. It has to be the Leafs who do it for it to be the most funny)

2. Dallas-Colorado (a war with two top contenders)

3. Winnipeg-St.Louis (lots to prove)

4. Washington-Montreal (it just feels like Washington loses, so this could be a train wreck)

I should care more about the Tampa-Florida series. I feel like it should be a war but I just expect Florida to win so heavily

I know that Carolina / NJD is on a lot of people’s “not interested” lists, but I think this could end up being a sneaky good series. No one is giving the Devils a chance because they are missing J. Hughes. IMO, I think of all the 1st round series, this one has the best chance for an upset by the lower seed.
