Ranger match, match and passA team can offersheet Cuylle at 6.8M(1st+3rd), D'Andre Miller at 4.58M(2nd) and Zac Jones at 1.5M(No picks)
I don't know why Utah would care why the Senators would want their pick back; I'd imagine they'd do that trade regardless.Would Utah trade back the Sens 2nd rounder and like a 4th for the Sabres 2nd, if Staios promised them that they would offersheet Bourque?
Utah had some excellent metrics this season despite suffering quite a bit of injuries and just barely missed the playoffs, and after winning the draft lottery securing another top 5 pick and the development and possibly graduation of prospects, they could legit make the playoffs. Messing with Dallas and/or Colorado's roster could prove very beneficial, especially since both of those team are in cap crunch.I don't know why Utah would care why the Senators would want their pick back; I'd imagine they'd do that trade regardless.
Oh, I see. Yes, I suppose you're right, in that Dallas is a divisional rival of Utah, so it would be in Utah's interest for one of Dallas' players to be poached.Utah had some excellent metrics this season despite suffering quite a bit of injuries and just barely missed the playoffs, and after winning the draft lottery securing another top 5 pick and the development and possibly graduation of prospects, they could legit make the playoffs. Probably the one team that can make dead weight disappear.Ranger match, match and pass
Most likely moving on from CK which will allow them to match. Could also see them moving Mika as well.
Every year the Rangers have "cap trouble" only to not have any trouble at all.
Ck and potentially Mika may both be gone this summer. With only 10M to sign 5 players including KAM and Cuylle I think NYR are going to lose one of them unless they trade Lafreniere or ask their NMC guys to gtfo.
Where is Mika going?Ck and potentially Mika may both be gone this summer.
He's getting buried. Bourque is a good player and lit up the AHL last year. Stars are logjammed in the top 6 specifically so he gets like 12min a night and very limited PP.Am I missing something on Bourque? 5' 10" center with 25 points at 23 years old doesn't really seem OS worthy, unless he's just been getting buried in their lineup.
Not sure, but for a 70+ point C/W, his contract will be a bargainWhere is Mika going?
He did better the 2nd half of the season, but he was with Johnston a lot, He's ok, not worth 4m.Am I missing something on Bourque? 5' 10" center with 25 points at 23 years old doesn't really seem OS worthy, unless he's just been getting buried in their lineup.
I think the Rangers still match. Cuylle is a player every team would love to have. He hits a ton and scores a reasonable amount.Dallas won't be matching 4.6M on Bourque. The compensation is a 2nd.
NYR might not match 6.8M on Cuylle. Compensation is 1st and 3rd
They are both great target, Max $ in the 1st + 3rd bracket for Cuylle and same for Bourque in the 2nd bracket.
NYRangers will have to OVERPAY like crazy to get Kreider out of there and he still has a 15team NTC on top of that. They end up losing either way. f*** with them if you're an Eastern Team. They can't trade Zibanejad he has a full NMC. They are kind of f***ed tbh.
Dallas I bet they trade Marchment away and match. They still need to fill lots of holes, Granlund gone, Duchene Gone, Dadonov, Ceci. There's a temptation to just let Bourque walk at 4.6M for sure.
Why are the Rangers overpaying to get Kreider out? I’m betting you are going to be VERY surprised if he gets moved. Teams are still going to pay a decent price for him, and the Rangers won’t have to pay someone to take him. They didn’t pay to get rid of Goodrow, and got back assets for Trouba. They will get assets back for Kreider if they trade him, too.
Rangers will have to overpay like CRAZY WACKY WAHOOO to move that Goodrow contractBecause his contract is really heavy and his play really took a nose dive. Still 2 years to that contract, teams aren't stupid either, they know that the Rangers are stuck and asking for help by trading Kreider.
