Was it the first one, finally breaking through again in the playoffs in the McDrai era? Felt like a ton of happiness and relief after Game 7. You had Kane’s heroics in Game 6 too.

Was it the second one, with the Kings coming back in Game 1 and nearly winning Game 2, then the Oilers coming back in Game 4 with Hyman’s OT heroics and Yams scoring the series clincher?

Was it the third one, with Hyman going beast mode and the Oilers unstoppable PP?

Or was it the fourth one, with the failed challenge in Game 3, the massive turnaround after the first two games, and the crazy ending to Game 4?

it’s close between the first and fourth, and this might be some recency bias but I’m going with the fourth

The latest one because of the adversity. The Oilers also came in as underdogs, unlike in previous years.

Third one for me for no other reason than we made it way, way harder on ourselves to win it in all the other years. In each season we should have won in about 5, but 2024 was the only year we actually made it go how it should have gone.

Although, it was nice watching them be the favourite, go up 2-0, then rip it away from them this year.....

Probably 1 or 4...but I'll go with 4th one
the first because they really had to learn what it takes to win a series...Game 6 and 7 were epic and proved nothing fazes them doing moments of adversity
this recent one, it looked like it was finally LA's time, only to see it slip through their fingers

Each has it's own level of satisfaction.

The first was probably the one I was most happy with at the time since visions of McDavid and Draisaitl never winning a series again was creeping in when Edmonton went down 3-2

The second felt like they shouldn't have had much of a problem but they were a 3 goal comback away from going down 3-1 because our goalie completely was shitting his pants and the refs can't see a puck on change direction on replay. Ultimately, the win just felt like relief rather than ecstasy.

The third was easily the most satifying as it never really felt like LA had a chance. Even when they got an early lead in Game 2, Edmonton erased it until ultimately succombing in OT. Also the Skinner shutout in Game 4 helped build some belief he could have some good games in the playoffs.

This year is similar to Year 2 in that the team gets hurt again early on refs not being able to see a puck in amongst the dark backdrop of LA and really the comeback just feels like relief again. This comeback certainly was more daunting as LA was a better team than prior years, and Edmonton seemed to be reeling a bit in the since 4 nations.

Overall, I'd rank Year 3 the best as it's the one where Edmonton basically did exactly what they should, with Year 1 being a close second as it felt like the one that galvanized this team into becoming a playoff team that can win.
