Normally when Habs is eliminated from the playoffs I'm taking a break of hockey.

It's the first time that in the NHL playoffs I'm watching Canadians teams.

Canada having a chance to win the Stanley Cup.

To the extent that I have one, it would be Edmonton.

Although I have a particular love for the old Senators dynastic teams. But I can't make myself transfer this love to the current franchise, because I hate the city of Ottawa from the trips I made there and how I was treated.

easy oilers. calgary cost me us a cup in a period i care a ton.
Worst is ottawa, yes more then the leafs...
Van and peg always been irrelevant to me
Ottawa is easy to hate. leafs i dislike but feel pity for them

The Oilers, aside from their choice in GM.
I like the Canucks too. I've never had the same fondness for the other two western canadian teams though, and we play the eastern teams too much for me to ever do anything but resent them.

Calgary is the one I dislike the least.
Iginla was one of my favourite players, so I really used to genuinely like the Flames.

I guess Vancouver after that, but I hated them during the Sedins / Kesler / Burrows days when they all dove and embellished non stop.

Hate Winnipeg as long as Schefiele is there for that hit on Evans.

Something about McDavid attitude rubs me the wrong way, hope they never win. Never liked the Oilers.

Ottawa and Toronto can get f***ed forever. (Though I always like Pacioretty and wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if he gets a Cup, it’d just be brutal to see it happen with the Leafs)

Jets, been watching them since the WHA days, I watch only Habs and Jets games, probably 75+ per team per year. I refuse to cheer for any American teams, in any sport....and the Leafs of course.

When I was a kid Toronto was my 2nd team. Dave Keon, Sittler, Salming, Norm Ullman. But since social media and I got introduced to some to their fans I hate Toronto

Back in the 80’s it would have been EDM, than with Bure it would have been Vancouver, when Toronto started there rebuild and took two year to tear the team down (seem like a great blueprint for a MTL rebuild) and had all that de momentum drafting Matthew it was Toronto than they lost all of that momentum losing in the Covid playoff and throwing asset away trying add to the team completely ignoring the biggest need. So now I’m back with EDM after a little flirt with Calgary since they gave us Monahan…

Vancouver during the era you mentioned reminds me a lot of Toronto from this era. They were an arrogant organization with insufferable fans. They got humbled really hard and seem to have gotten a lot better the last 10 years but they were something else during the Luongo years.

I pity OTT and WPG, preferring WPG overall.

I hate TOR and want nothing but misery for them.

Don’t like CGY or VAN at all (but rooted for them in their cup finals run, as I did OTT). I dislike VAN less. I don’t know what it is about CGY but I associate Albertan politics with them so they get a worse grade.

I can’t stand how EDM has been run and part of me wants them to fail so McDavid can be freed. But I’m caught rooting for them this year anyway.

Ranking:
1. WPG
2. OTT
3. EDM
4. VAN
5. CGY
6. TOR

My best friend moved to Edmonton when we were kids, so I've always had a soft spot for their team. Rooting for the Oilers for the second year in a row.

Never had any hard feelings against Vancouver. Along with Buffalo, they have the longest streak of never winning a Cup. I'd be cool with them finally winning one.

Ambivalent towards Calgary and Winnipeg. A pang of sympathy for Hellebuyck, but can't stand Scheifele, which adds up to indifference.

Up until recently, I tolerated Ottawa slightly more than Toronto. However, Sens fans seem to have gotten more obnoxious while Leafs fans have become more fatalistic, almost humble. Year after year of failure has stomped most of the arrogance out of their system. At this point, I can actually stand the Leafs fans on this board more than I can some of Ottawa's screechy, witless fans. I found myself rooting for Toronto to beat Ottawa, just to shut their fans up.

After last night, another piece of Toronto's soul has been ripped from them. I don't enjoy kicking someone when they're down, and will happily leave Leafs fans alone to lick their wounds. Ottawa, on the other hand, seems to have inherited Toronto's entitlement, only without the talent or regular season success.

Traditionally Vancouver as I am from there. However, Edmonton is my current second and definitely who I am pulling for out of all teams this playoffs.

FWIW, I don’t mind Toronto but living here, SOME fans and all of the media is a lot to manage. That said, while most of my friends despise the Canadiens, I don’t feel the same hate towards the Leafs. However, I grew up during the Battles of Quebec and hate the Bruins to my core and during my formative years, the Leafs weren’t relevant.

I don't play the national pride game...especially now given what this country has become politically. I don't want any other team to do 'too' well; I like that we are the last Canadian team to win the Cup, and I don't want it coming back to Canada unless it's coming back to Montreal.

Vancouver.

My best friend's favourite team. His second favourite is the Habs too.

1. Montreal
2. Vancouver
3. Edmonton
4. Winnipeg
5. Calgary

6/7: These losers rotate frequently. I hate Thachuk so Ottawa is probably 7th. But most people around me are Leaf fans, so I dunno.

Yeah it's more about wanting to see certain players and cores win it. I don't fully agree with you because I would like to see McDavid and Draisaitl win a cup together. I have faith that this core will be a multi finalist during their run (partially due to the east not being good in a few years). So I don't care if Edmonton wins a cup first cause in the long run, Habs will probably be a better team and achieve more
