Personally I want Group 2 since Amadio would allow us to run our 4th line out more consistently which matters since leafs have last change first 2 games

I expect us to run a version of Group 4 with Highmore instead of Gaudette

True that not having a good 4th line might eb a problem, need to find a solution, having Cousins back gives us options

For the highlighted, who would play C then?

Group #6
Tkachuk - Stu - Giroux
Perron - Cozens - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Amadio
Highmore - Cousins - Zetterlund

Ok since it's early I'll add it as an option

Everybody is free to make suggestions

That triple H line in group 6 could deliver the pedigree to the leafs with "the Game" blasting over the arena speakers.

very small sample size but amadio is at 51% for faceoffs. No where near an ideal solution but its an option to start

Has he really played C in the NHL though? Maybe a bit in LA at the beginning of his NHL career but not after

Man Henrik Zetterberg? What I would give for a prime Zeta.

Zetterlund becomes Zetterberg when on the first line! (well, I dream)

yeah i dont think he has, it isnt the best option at all but i dont see highmore coming out of the lineup. Even removing Highmore and Gaudette from the lineup would make things tricky (positionally) unless the plan is to give Jenik a shot

Cant believe im saying this but ideally we give Gaudette game 1 just to not have that center issue as well

I voted for 1, but Cousins doesnt really play center. Really missing Ostapchuk/Kastelic type right now to have an optimal lineup.

I get that Osty had to be included in the Zetterlund deal so I cant have my cake and eat it too. But thats all this group is really missing from being very good top to bottom.

Cant believe people still want to move amadio off the line with Greig and Pinto. Wild.

Personally i dont want to. But with leafs getting the last change the first 2 games Amadio helps give that 4th line a huge defensive boost

I dont know if I trust a cousins/highmore-gaudette/zetterlund combo defensively against either of the leafs top 2 lines

any home games, stack up Greig-Pinto-Amadio

Again, Gaudette has played 80 games and has a 51% FO.

He's going to be centering the 4th line whether we like it or not.

Anyway, I get that these are lines YOU would choose, I just think we'll end up disappointed if we expect major changes.

For my part, I'd pick #1.

Tkachuk - Stutzle - Zetterlund
Perron - Cozens - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Amadio
Hodgson - Cousins - Giroux

The strategy behind it is that the 2nd and 3rd lines have great chemistry so unless they aren't performing then they should be kept together.

The Tkachuk - Stutzle - Zetterlund line has shown some flashes and if it struggles you can always move Giroux back up there.

Hodgson brings a lot of speed, energy and physicality and the team doesn't have a lot of that element. I think Hodgson could help create turnovers with his aggressive forecheck and Giroux and Cousins could take advantage of those turnovers for scoring chances. I think that 4th line likely gives the Sens some timely goals or at least wears the opponent down for a line change.

I agree. For better or worse. This is why I can see them breaking up line 3 and bumping down Amadio. Gaudette needs help defensively.

You are making the team worse by breaking up our most consistent line to worry about boosting our 4th line that will be used sparingly. The Pinto line may very well be the key to our playoff success.

If you really need to, you double shift some players on the 4th line for a boost.

I was more saying what I think will happen, than what I want to happen.

Mostly, I just don't want to see Zetterlund buried on the 4th line, and with Cousins coming back to supplant 1 of Highmore or Gaudette, we don't have to have our 4th line as such a glaring weakness.
