Good poll, It took me a couple minutes to think about it but by a hair I chose the Buffalo duo.

Tage and Dahlin. Contracts are similar enough that I focus on the players. I think each of the Buffalo players are a hair better than their Dallas counterparts today, and IMO they both have higher talent/more upside.

I think it boils down to Robertson vs Thompson for me. Thompson plays the more "in-demand" position in Center.

Can't go wrong with either duo though.

For me it was the opposite. While Heiskanen will/is a great #1 defenseman, Dahlin will/is an elite defenseman.

He really is. Half this site has convinced themselves he's a bust when he's actually been one of the best defensemen in the NHL since January-February of last year.

I wouldn't say he's a bust, but he also isn't a top 30 defenceman. He will still carve out a decent career for himself

Pretty close poll, 46-38 in favour of the Dallas duo. I think I’d take the Dallas duo.

There is not a single argument for him not currently being a top 30 defensemen. Sorry.

In a vacuum so far this season he has been good, but short sightedness like that is what gets players like Darnell Nurse 9.25 million a season. You need to look at the bigger picture

It is also how superstar giraffes make only 7.14M on a long term contract that hasn't even started yet, just use your eyes. Nurse wishes he was Dahlin. As mentioned above, it was also much of last season.

Uhmm, the bigger picture is 18yr generational prospect gets ruined by hockey terrorist coach. Finally looks like himself (which is a being a beast and generally one of, if not the best player on the ice).

Also I'd be so happy if we only had to pay him what Nurse makes. Sabres fans would rejoice, we'd be pretty set cap wise.

I take Dahlin over Miro.

I take Robertson over Tage, but Robertson will get a mega contract in a few years while Tage is on a steal of a contract.

Not considering contracts I go with Dallas. Considering contracts I go with Buffalo.

I said generational prospect, and yes they would if they were 19/20yo with both zero support and a coach that literally won't let him play his game (that hockey terrorist I mentioned).

And he wasn't ruined, just stalled. As anyone else would be.
