I said it before and I'll say it again. This genuinely looks like Toronto's year.

Toronto has looked better then ever this year. I don't know if they'll win it all this year but they're going to be a hard matchup for anyone and will win one soon.

New coach. One of the better 1A/1B goalie tandems in the NHL. They completely rebuilt their blueline in one summer. Adding Tanev, Carlo, OEL all within one year is huge.

They have the grit too this year in Laughton, Knies, McMann and Robertson.

Came here to say the Oilers are my SC favorite, they just dominated a very good heavy Vegas team last night.

McDavid and Draiatal are adding a ton to their respective legacies this year.

One of the most annoying things every playoff is the bandwagon jumping on any team based in Canada just because they're from Canada and people want to bRiNg ThE cUp HoMe.

I dislike most of the teams left overall, but the way people act towards the Canadian teams makes me want a non-Canadian team win no matter what. I want the drought to continue and the whining to continue.

So I've seen posts already in this thread saying they just hope it's a Canadian team, and that happens every year. I think in terms of HF Boards though you're correct, it's not as much of a majority of Canadian fans on these forums. It is still some though.

Outside of here it swings the other way, and a much higher percentage of people in Canada rooting for the Canadian team no matter what.

i think leafs are a better team then panthers, i actually have leafs over oilers in SCF
feeling more sure about the leafs right now, but if oilers keeps the pedal down vs vegas...

Even if Leafs looks better this season but regular and playoffs isnt similar, Am playing injured his wrister is gone, MM always gets lost in tight playoff games. Nylander cant carry the team alone. Knies looks göod, but play 1st line. You néed secondary scoring in a long playoff run. Injured goalie doesnt help either.

Its like choose between waterboarding and 220 wolt to the nuts, but i hope you get past Florida rats. Think though that Hurricanes will end the run for the team who survive.

I think Toronto is finally a solid contender after giving up the concept they kept clinging to with Dermott, Liljegren, Sandin, Topi Niemala, etc. Maybe not this year but they could win at any point.
