Kent... Who else?
Lol I'm still getting my draft list together. We don't draft till till the 16th. But I had Wyatt Johnston in my head for some reason, so I wanted clarification

Trail Smoke Eaters....interesting BCHL team name

Ah true, forgot about Wyatt, but I'd be surprised he jumps from junior to NHL.

Not sure Oiler fans are fully objective, but if they are correct and Holloway plays with Drai, then you have to think he will find the score sheet with regularity.
No fans are fully objective. But in theory, yes, if Holloway sticks in the top 6 playing with either Drai or McDavid, he could be a dark horse candidate.

And i just noticed Kent was already taken last year so no bueno. I don't start drafting till the third round anyways. Doubt he would have been there. I'm just hoping for Pavelski...after that I'm just drafting trade bait

Beniers
Holloway
Pinto
Perfetti

and Kent Johnson might go to top favorite if he gets the 1C job

Guys like Beniers and McTavish are probably the most NHL ready at the moment, but evaluating a player's situation and where they'll be playing in the lineup is important.

For me, I think Perfetti, Holloway and Johnson could be stepping into the best spots to succeed. Guys like Beniers and McTavish will be relied on more by their team and will need to drive their own lines to get to the point totals of the other guys.

Beniers has been fantastic through the pre season and should be expected to be 1C and driving a line.

McTavish on the other hand has been extremely underwhelming and looks to be at best starting as 3rd line winger with no PP time.

How has Holloway barely even been mentioned?

If he’s playing with Drai and PP2 time, he’s going to put up monster numbers while playing a strong two way game.
Yamamoto and Puljujarvi didn't put up monster numbers on Drai or McDavids wing, I don't think it's a forgone conclusion that Holloway would either. If he gets the opportunity he could, but some of the other rookies being mentioned are very likely going to get more minutes and PP1 time on their respective teams.

If Marco Rossi centers the Kaprizov/Zuccarello line for even half of this season's games, he will run away with the rookie scoring title and Calder.

We will get a preview tonight as Rossi will be centering that line vs Chicago.
