My argument was not that he was not a good player. My argument was that Yurov was the better prospect, which can certainly still play out and would be huge given how Faber turned out.

My specific comparison for Faber at the time was Hjalmarsson, a key piece to Chicago winning Cups. If that is calling Faber a bad player or a bad prospect then I don’t know what to tell you.

And I got shit talked endlessly for that.

So let me get this straight. You're allowed to be down on a player but others arent?

I think you need to re-read what I said.

Well it's just confusing because you're attacking people for having reservations about a prospect while defending having reservations about a prospect. Noone hated Stramel the player, maybe the pick which is understandable. Most hoped the best for him but we're concerned which I think is fair.

My guy, I interacted with these people for over a year. You have a really cozy view of what they were saying. It’s out of touch with reality.

No need to be condescending but sure, your view of faber was totally in touch with reality too.

You were very, let's say, 'passionate' about Yurov over Faber, and others disagreed. I don't think I ever thought of it as anything other than a discussion. Not sure why everything has to be whining, complaining or shit-talking.

Comparing Faber to a guy who was pivotal to his team winning multiple Cups was obviously me shitting on him in the same way many on here shit on Stramel (could’ve signed Nelson to do the same thing, 2028 comp pick #55 is gonna be great, lucky to get a 13th forward out of him, ECHL player, biggest bust in team history, etc etc). Totally the same thing.

Blah blah blah blah blah. Nobody else gives a shit about who said what and when, nor do they care about any sour grapes or interpersonal drama.

Let's go back to Jiricek and him as an organisational fit. I'd have him somewhere around Liam Öhgren at the moment; higher upside, but also more of a risk. If I had to rank prospects, I'd place him just above Liam right now based on ceiling, but it's close.

2. Wallstedt
3. Buium
4. Jiricek
5. Ohgren
6. Stramel
7. Ritchie
8. Kumpulainen
9. Lorenz
10. Spacek
