Where will Jack Eichel be after the 2022 Trade Deadline?

The reason I use the Trade Deadline is because nobody knows when or if Eichel will actually be playing in the 2021-22 season, due to his injuries and lack of clarity regarding what treatment he is going to get.

Buffalo, because Kevyn Adams won't budge off of his price and it will take into the summer of 2022 for Eichel to have proven that he can play after having neck surgery or whatever procedure he does...which will scare any suitors away until then.

In an Eastern European medical center, getting owl blood injected into his neck so he can move it again.

This is as good a guess as any here, what a f**ked up situation for him and the Sabers overall.

To say that how the Eichel situation is handled/resolved is the most important decision in Sabers franchise history is an understatement.

To me there is a Wright answer to the sabers problems though.

Vegas is my best guess. They desperately need a 1C and their core is obviously in a compete now scenario.

I think Buffalo will want to ship him out west. The optics of him torching their team 4+ times a season if he stayed in the east would be pretty bad.

I have been a Sabres fan since 2005-06 and Eichel is the best skater Buffalo has had in that time. Maybe Buffalo's best player overall, depending on what you think about Ryan Miller. Buffalo is going to demand a king's ransom and other teams may be a little hesitant with the injury questions. I don't think a deal can be reached

Kings and Rangers should be strong candidates. Both have deep prospect pools and Eichel probably wouldn't mind switching Buffalo to LA or NYC.

Rangers. They're in a deep division and are loaded with assets. He could put them at the top of the Metro and with Panarin would be one of the better duos in the league. Probably like Kakko+ some other pieces the other way.

Vancity I believe after this trade:

To Buffalo:
Horvat (C), Pearson, Myers, Juolevi, Gadvovich, 2022 4th, 2023 5th

To Vancity:

Jeichel, 2022 3rd

Then we could rock this:

Miller Pettersson Garland
Hoglander Jeichel Brock Boeser
Motte Dickinson Podz
HighMore Sutter MacEwan
