Man, some really weird choices in the shootout by our guys. Surprised they didn't send Hughes or Hischier out for a shot.

I'm pretty sure Mercer has 0 shootout goals in his career, but maybe I'm wrong? He probably doesn't have a whole lot of opportunities anyway. Didn't they try him earlier this year and he didn't score? Or maybe that was last year.

Using him was clearly nothing but ''he's hot, maybe he can score in one of these''.

I swear this is the curse of Zach/Kovy. This team has been ass in the SO ever since they left the team, doesn’t matter who’s on the roster.

The formula to beating us in the playoffs is clear. Hope for great goaltending and that the devils make enough of those unforced mental mistakes to capitalize on your few chances.
