Avs made the right choice moving on from him, not a difference maker.
So much BS. He’s awesome, he can’t carry a team by himself through the whole playoffs, he needs support like everyone else. Where was Heiskanen and his impact on this playoffs coming back from injury though?Avs made the right choice moving on from him, not a difference maker.
His dry spell began before facing EDM...9 games ago I believe is when his scoring nosedived...so they stopped someone whose guns had already stopped blazing.you can thank the elite Edmonton Oilers team defense for making Carolina's management look better
22pts in 18games and avs fans are calling him a bust, pathetic. So much BS. He’s awesome, he can’t carry a team by himself through the whole playoffs, he needs support like everyone else. Where was Heiskanen and his impact on this playoffs coming back from injury though?
It was 1,2ppg. As is his career playoff pgg. What about it?But what about Mikko's playoff production!!!
He was the best player of Dallas in COL and WPG series according to advanced stats. He lead Dallas in high danger scoring chances after the first four Col games where he only scored one point. He showed up for a grand total of 4 games in the playoffs. Got most of his point in batches and looked lost and uninterested in most games. It was a sorry showing. More in line with 3 months with Carolina than his time with Colorado. He doesn't appear to be a guy that stirs the drink.
exactly, hes a complimentary player that worked extremely well with MacKinnon and Makar and Colorado trading him messed up thier chemistry and Rantanen never found his footing and never looked good, and Dallas might regret signing that contract if Dallas can't surround Rantanen with gamers.
Bus rider who has had most points out of Avs forwards in last three playoffs before this spring. Your saltiness is embarrassing and reeks of bitter mentality.Oh, they will regret signing that contract for sure.
Mikko's a bus rider, not a bus driver, and he already got his cup, so he's good. He's gonna just chill and collect that cash.
Edit: He'll still score against the Avs though, whenever they play.
at least he was in the bus!!!Oh, they will regret signing that contract for sure.

Rants these playoffs was the ultimate boom or bust player.
Stankoven also outscored Benn, Duchene, Seguin, Granlund and Johnston. You are not making the point you think you are making.Stankoven outscored Rantanen in the conference finals. Doesn't really matter how well someone drives play if the puck doesn't eventually go in.
This shows that hockey in the South is like a baby - very new to the worldStankoven outscored Rantanen in the conference finals. Doesn't really matter how well someone drives play if the puck doesn't eventually go in.

I love Mikko, but he is lazy as f***. Like I said before, when he's engaged few players can stop him. But it doesn't happen consistently enough.
Yeah, he's not that guy. He's an elite finisher but not somebody you want as the guy.View attachment 1044132
He was getting double shifted, EDM has two of them. Must have been totally gassed, Dallas crashed out the moment he stopped scoring.
It's obvious Dallas lacks high end talent to compete with EDM. Interesting to see what they will do in the offseason.Yeah, he's not that guy. He's an elite finisher but not somebody you want as the guy.
Yet he leads Dallas in practically every offensive stat.Yeah, he's not that guy. He's an elite finisher but not somebody you want as the guy.
