All our hats are belong to Rantanen.
We get hat trick. Main game turn on.
All our hats are belong to Rantanen.
I get why Colorado (stupidly) got rid of him. But why did Carolina?
First line stankovin drafted by Dallas waves hiPeople brag about Dallas’s drafting… But I think Carolina’s drafting is a tier higher. Unbelievable drafting.
Spoken like a GM. Avs management lost the plot and it bit them in the worst way.Canes come out okay. Dallas comes out great. The Avs look very foolish.
Yeah he told them pretty much straight away it's not going to happen there. After that both parties understood the next move was to find a trade.According to the reports I heard about, he didn't want to sign an extension with them and was noticeably dogging it according to some Canes fans, as well as struggling to adapt to Rod Brind'amour's system. They decided to cut bait and get what they could in return for a trade instead of keep him for a single playoff run where he was likely going to walk as a UFA afterwards.
Just as I predicted. Completely ignored my post. You want to talk about his decline years?
During his so called decline years he was on pace for 3 straight 100+ seasons before he got traded, in one of them he scored over 50 goals
During his so called decline years he out scored Nathan Mackinnon in the playoffs who’s thought of as a top 3/5 player in the league
What did and do we keep hearing non stop? Not worth the money, lazy, declining
You ever stop to wonder why he looked ”lazy” at times??
Tell me a powerforward who can play 82 games averaging 22mins a game and keep the energy throughout the season and for the playoffs?
Everyone knows that and every player would say when you have to play top pair Dman minutes as a forward you have to save energy, you can’t go all out every game you have to pick your spots
It’s so stupid to read about his laziness when the guy had to play 25-26 mins in some games, as a powerforward. He played those minutes, he scored 100+ per season and not once complained. Yet this board by the xxx is all about complaining rather than being thankfull for having that caliber player in their lineup
In Dallas he’s playing 19-20mins a game, hey what do you know he has more energy at the end of games…
I’m so tired of all the bs people keep throwing towards Rantanen. Have fun replacing his production and see how easy it is to find unique superstars
So ….ng glad he’s gone to Dallas
And I know, you are going to point at his point totals and say that "that's some regression when he scored back to back +100 point seasons"
Just as I predicted. Completely ignored my post.
1 assist in 4 games and -4.
Of course the whole Dallas team doesn't score a lot, and their scoring leader is defenseman with 3 points in 4 games. Still, Rantanen is paid to be a leader, and he isn't to put it mildly.
Almost as if all the Avalanche fans who've watched his entire career said this is what he's like knew what they were talking about.
And (imo) considering the Avs suggested during trade talks that Rantanen would sign with his new club, the Canes (when finding out directly from Rantanen that wasn’t the case) were more than happy to accommodate Rantanen’s desire to go to Dallas.Mikko wanted to go at Dallas. He knew that he will play against Colorado at playoffs and rest is history.
Despite everyone finding my post (and others) hilarious, what I said wasn't actually contradicted by what happened. For years Rantanen would float along for a few games not doing anything then suddenly pop up with loads of points. This year it just happened to occur in spectacular circumstances.I'm not even a fan and this is absolutely fabulous.
That post aged really wellThis is why he wasn't worth the contract. He is not a line driver, he got fed points by Mack and makar.
If he isn't scoring, most of the time he is invisible out there unless he is falling down from no contact
Grok is betterAccording to the broadcast, he's only the third player to ever do it.
I wonder who the other two were. Google wasn't helpful, but I didn't look past the first page of results.
Why aren’t you crying about Mackinnon not being worth the money and he’s worse in games that matter the most and is being paid more?
Huh?First line stankovin drafted by Dallas waves hi
Can’t be serious if Dallas trades their 4th line drafted (we love him he is amazing) and he is now your 1st for a playoff run
And Carolina has better drafting?
That's pretty insane.
Mack had 7 goals and 11 points in the first round this year.
He's never been below a PPG producer in the playoffs, not once.
He has a career 1.32 PPG in the playoffs, including 55 goals in 95 games.
His goal scoring in the playoffs is at 0.57 GPG vs. 0.42 GP for the regular season.
Games that matter most: Every playoff game matters.
So he doesn't produce in game 7s? His stats suggest that there wouldn't even be any game 7s for the Avs without him.
Read who I responded too. He thinks Carolina is better at drafting than DallasHuh?
