Yuma sucks though.

We'll keep it simple, 5v5 GF%Can you provide these metrics?
Can these be explained by Makar? Rantanen did not have Makar on ice when playing outside of MacK. We know that Nate isn't getting bumped down the lineup so the other way doesn't work. We'll keep it simple, 5v5 GF%
2019-2022
Rantanen & MacKinnon = 62.12
Rantanen without MacKinnon = 62.50
MacKinnon without Rantanen = 60.78
2022-2025
Rantanen & MacKinnon = 59.55
Rantanen without MacKinnon = 45.92
MacKinnon without Rantanen = 61.90

Yeah I'm sure if we crunch numbers long enough we'll find that a 100p regular season guy and verifiable playoff monster is in fact just getting carried. Colorado's management are playing 8D chess.I hear you get them at a discount from Colorado.
That's because MacKinnon isn't playing. He's not playing with MacKinnon that's for sure.
As a matter of fact, there are quite a few people in Finland who claim exactly that about the region where Rantanen is from.I think that's a valid question, because at this point I'm starting to suspect him as being an alien from another planet.
Now he is off the diet and feasting on goals…Nate helped him with his diet plan 100%
Bs. Completely. His ask in Colorado was “around 14M” x 8
His ask in Carolina was 14 x 8
Idk his ask from the Stars but 3 hours before the TDL Dallas’s offer of 12M x 8 was considered “not even close” to acceptable to Rantanen & agent and it looked like the deal was falling through, to the point that other options were explored by CAR.
It wasn’t until 90 mins before the deadline that he accepted the 12x8 offer from Dallas. Andy Scott & Rantanen didn’t blink until the last possible moment.
So yes, he was asking for $14.xx Million from Colorado, before settling for 12M from Dallas.
I have sources for all of the above.Bs. Completely.
Just one point: He had no “ask” in Carolina, because he didn’t want to sign there.
The rest is bs, too.
Not really
2019-2022
Rantanen & MacKinnon & Makar = 60.32
Rantanen & Makar = 66.67
MacKinnon & Makar = 68.00
2022-2025
Rantanen & MacKinnon & Makar = 59.12
Rantanen & Makar =51.72
MacKinnon & Makar = 61.45
The dropoff is pretty visible.
True.Yet in his decline he out produced Mackinnon in the playoffs and have far better stats for game 7’s.
Rantanen is the most disrespected 100 point player in the league by a mile
I have sources for all of the above.
If you have sources that rebut them it would add a lot more to the thread if you could post them, instead of just saying it’s all “complete bs”

True.
Look mate, I didn't want Rantanen traded. I thought that the value of his production, even if it's partially because of MacKinnon, is worth it more than a worse player and some depth for the same money.
It probably is, if you have not read them properly. Rantanen is my favourite player, and I wanted him to stay with the Avs. I maintained that his ability to produce points and produce in the playoffs (note that I have not touched on the playoffs at any point here in this thread) outweighed his "laziness", "regression", or "being carried by MacKinnon" or whatever words have been used to describe his play during the last 3 regular seasons with the Avs. I simply put out some data to demonstrate that when the Avs fans are talking about his play declining during the last 3 seasons, there is absolutely merit to those claims. A whole another discussion can be then had about what is the reason behind that regression. And I know, you are going to point at his point totals and say that "that's some regression when he scored back to back +100 point seasons". Yeah, we know he can put up points. But before 2022 there were some times legit arguments that Rantanen was, if not necessarily better than MacKinnon, but just as good. He could absolutely carry a line by himself, and did so in many occasions, especially when MacKinnon was hurt. This hasn't been the case during the last few seasons. MacKinnon exploding on his own right is obviously part of that, but Rantanen has simply not been able to do the same things he did pre 2022.That’s honestly hard to believe given all the comments

Seems like he has been doing it for the last few games, and we'll see how it goes in the future. I sure hope he really can step it up again, and become one of the best play driving forwards in the league again. Would be pretty good for next year regarding the Olympics![]()
Man, what an embarrassment for Colorado's front office. And it somehow keeps getting worse.![]()
Is that number a fact? Imo Rantanen wanted a fair contract from the Avs (like what he got from Dallas) and Avs management dropped the ball by trading him. The Canes thought he would sign with them because the Avs implied he would during the trade negotiations. Canes found out after the trade Rantanen had no desire to stay there. Canes imo traded him to Dallas to get the return they did but also to put the shaft to Avs management. Canes come out okay. Dallas comes out great. The Avs look very foolish. His ask in Colorado was “around 14M” x 8
His ask in Carolina was 14 x 8

Don’t ya think you should bring more then “that’s not true to the argument? I’m sure you didn’t see his first negotiation with container.Bs. Completely.

Avs management should be fired for how they handled this. Mac and Mak missed be pissed. No, that’s by all accounts the number Rantanen and his agent started with
What he was accepting was in the 12-12.5M range yet the Avs never wanted to pay him that. Which would have been clearly belowe market value, both Carolina and Toronto would have paid him more
This is all supported by the fact that he signed a 12M deal in Dallas which would have been 12.5M in Colorado
We also know Rantanen walked to the office and said he’s taking a home town discount yet Avs didn’t care and traded him moments later
