Speculation: Where is Matthew Tkachuk?

His shooting percentage is way down from previous years. No worried at all. Even if he has a down year, we’re sitting in a playoff spot and have a top defense. Rather he struggle now and get rolling in May and June.

So we should trade him? He’ll never come back?
We're obviously not trading him. Just worrying that hes injured this bad this long. Some players never recover from some injuries. Itd be a very panthers thing to get one epic year of tkachuk and nothing else.

And this is why you don't panic through a quarter of the season after off-season surgery.
He kind of looked like Reinhart at the beginning of last season. How many posts did Reino hit and prime opportunities did he waste within the first 20-25 games? MT just needed some time. The skill was never gone.

Additionally, it feels like he learnt to tune it down a little and still perform on the scoresheet. He does not have to go out there to destroy people (Cousins is taking care of that for him...)

I believe he has the most points in The League for this calendar year.

Yes sir, 3 Cats in the top 4.

Chucky finished 5th for ESPNs top 10 wingers
The commentary noted that the voting was done before his recent point streak.

found this part interesting:

"Tkachuk received three first-place rankings, two from Eastern Conference executives and one Western Conference executive. Where Tkachuk was hurt was among the players: The highest he ranked among his peers was fifth, and Tkachuk was left off five player ballots completely."

Player jealousy.
