Yup, he works hard.. at turning over the puck while ducking hitsLet Nylander leave - he deserves more.
Or you trade Hubey for TkachukThey will have no choice, but to try again next year, if they lose this year. Every other team who lose or have lost will do the same.
Nah. With how bad the metro is, SCF or bust. Finally beating the Cats just to lose to the team who gets swept every ECF? Equally inexcusable. Not that it matters anywayConference Finals imo
That would be one possible way of trying again.Or you trade Hubey for Tkachuk
It wouldn't be rolling it back. Still 2 games left, but you gotta change something if this team doesn't deliver. That would be one possible way of trying again.
I mean Florida did the hard thing but look what it’s gotten them. Leafs have never made the tough move. Overly loyal to guys who got them nothing. That is the problem. The players, from the outset, have been the problem. They have done everything but make a big change to the core group who has consistently underwhelmed other than some nice moments from Tavares and Nylander. Marner and Matthews have never ever met expectations for longer than a game or two. It’s just not enough. That would be one possible way of trying again.
If you read the posts on here they actually won the Cup when they beat Ottawa so it’s an irrelevant questionHonest question from a non-leaf fan. How deep into the playoffs to the Leafs have to get before it isn't considered blowing it?
I agree, they will have to do something to try again.I mean Florida did the hard thing but look what it’s gotten them. Leafs have never made the tough move. Overly loyal to guys who got them nothing. The Lightning got rid of 3-4 key guys in their cup runs before the leafs made any change to someone outside of the supporting cast of the core 4. GMs, players, coaches, etc. just seem really content with guys who have not proven it in about a decade’s worth of chances. You just gotta start over if Florida wins one moreI agree, they will have to do something to try again.
Thing is, the Leafs being a black hole means they'll bring everyone down with them.A deep dark hole somewhere far, far away.
They won’t do it because they have memories like goldfishHasn’t there been talk about them blowing it up ever since they lost to the Habs?
But so far they’ve changed coaches a few times, shuffled the bottom six and changed up the D.
I’ll believe that they’re going to blow it up when I see it.
Well,Puerto Rico voted to become the 51st state but in the United States only congress has the power to create a new state not a whim of some one.Ignore that kind of . . .
At what point does this culture affect their ability to get free agents? How much extra would they need to pay a guy who really wants to win? It just doesn’t feel like they’re closeLet Marner and Tavares walk. Sign Bennett and Ehlers.
Sure, starting over is one way of trying again. The Lightning got rid of 3-4 key guys in their cup runs before the leafs made any change to someone outside of the supporting cast of the core 4. GMs, players, coaches, etc. just seem really content with guys who have not proven it in about a decade’s worth of chances. You just gotta start over if Florida wins one more
I know its hard to believe but some players want to play in Toronto. Not saying thats Bennett, I don't know.At what point does this culture affect their ability to get free agents? How much extra would they need to pay a guy who really wants to win? It just doesn’t feel like they’re close
No need to argue with me on this. I could say more, but that talk is embarrassing.Well,Puerto Rico voted to become the 51st state but in the United States only congress has the power to create a new state not a whim of some one.
Ekblad isn't exactly holding his value. It would be a typical move for them though. Rinse, repeat.
As a Cat's fan, I'm glad he's out 3rd or 4th best d-manHe's a hell of a lot better than Reilly
lol they still think he’s the best player in the nhl broForcing Matthews out seems crazy but if he puts up another zero points in the last game I genuinely fear for his safety in Toronto. These are traumatized people. Losing 4 in a row to end the season and Matthews puts up zero goals in the series just seems untenable. If you're hurt don't play. There's no excuse. Yzerman won a cup on one knee.
