Currently both of these guys are having incredible starts to their careers. Both are on pace for historic seasons, and something truly special in Makar's case.
Where do they finish all time in rookie dman scoring?
Right now
Calder Makar: 23GP 25P - enough said?
He has 16 points in his last 8GP. PDO on the season is 1.06, but 1.11 during his recent run. So likely not that sustainable but he's racking up points early. Even if he drops back to more sustainable levels he's probably still going to produce at a high level.
Quinn Hughes: 23GP 18P
15 points in his last 16GP. PDO is just under 1. He's on pace for 64 points but it's a long season. 51 is the cutoff for top 15 all time. Worth noting, he's got 13pp points.
Both of these guys went NCAA, they haven't played 82 games a season before. It's a marathon. So where do these two great young dmen finish?
