When do players get paid?

All money is usually paid during the regular season, some guys getting $400 000+ bi weekly cheaques lol

I heard they were usually subject to multiple state/provincial taxes as well depending on where they played.

 Bi-weekly or bi-monthly can both mean twice a week/month or every two weeks/months
I think you guys are meaning the same thing

I just looked it up and you're right. Bi-weekly can mean twice per week or every two weeks. Bi-monthly the same. It actually depends on where you're from.

Weekly- Once per week
Bi-Weekly- Once every 2 weeks
Monthly- Once per month
Bi-Monthly- Once every 2 months
Semi-Monthly: Twice a month.

Uhhhhh not even close

Bi-weekly means every second Friday (usually hourly rate employees)

Bi-monthly means on the 15th and 31st(unless changed due to holidays or shorter months and typically salary employees)

At the end of their contract. Wouldn't want them to taste the luxurious life of having food until they've been in the NHL for 3 years.

This is from the MLB but it might be of interest in this thread:

Interesting, I always thought it would’ve been monthly myself. Didn’t realise they got taxed depending on where they played too.

Commonly referred to as the 'jock tax.' That's one of the means that cities and states get some of their money back from giving huge tax writeoffs to build arenas/stadiums. As much as I'm jealous of what pro athletes make, I'm glad that politicians haven't (yet) started taxing other professions like this.

So once every two weeks...

Bi-monthly definitely means once every 2 months. I have taken the accounting and business pathway all 4 years of high school. I know what I'm talking about.

Actually, he's exactly right. Bi = Latin meaning two, Semi = Latin meaning half.
